It will suck didnt 2k make prizefighter?????

this was mentioned on here a while back, maybe a year and a half ago


there was also some game that was going to have no licensed fighters that was supposed to have a real good version of gameface type software (and have a huge list of commentary names) i dont remember what came of that or if that was the VC game, it may have been, i know for a fact tho someone mentioned the VC boxing game a WHILE back

Yo, the baseball games by 2K have been improving each year so i think they're on the right track. I believe if they make this rumored boxing game that they would go all out just like they did with NBA 2K11. Plus with the backlash 2K got for Prizefighter, there's no way they'd wanna make that mistake again.

Yo, 2K only PUBLISHED Prizefighter. venom games actually made the game, not visual concepts. Visual concepts is the company that made NBA 2K11, ESPN 2K5 Football, APF 2K8 (which i thought was an excellent game) and the 2K baseball games. Venom games is not even in business anymore. Thank God!

Huh.... Well I'm not jumping the bandwagon cause call me silly I LIKE FNC!! almost all who posted on here predicting ea's demise... I guarantee you suck at this game. Pre release probably had these stupid thoughts you'd be the owc champ. Come to find out you suck after getting ktfo for the 10th time. So it's onto a new dream with 2k. Gimmie a break! There's nothing wrong with EA having competition as it benefits us all, but don't come on a EA forum and * n moan about a game cause your terrible at it

FNC is EA's best boxing so far, EA did a real well thought out job this time. As for 2K. I hear all the time 2K fans saying, venom made Prizefighter it was a venom game. No, 2K made the game they put up the money for it and put their brand on it. Venom was the developers they picked, they are responsible for who they pick to develop their game and they picked venom. 2K did make a boxing and Prizefighter is what they made. Maybe 2K could do better next time who knows. But 2K fans need to stop defending 2K's boxing by some how saying it really was not their game. Yes it was their game. 2K is responsible for the products they put their name on and who they hire to make those products for them, just like EA is.

I love Fight Night. But this game needs serious competition to really push it moving forward for the better.

Let's not forget that back in 2005 2K made a superior NFL game than EA did with Madden, so it forced EA to buy up the rights to the NFL license so they couldn't do it again.

I think it's good news, it will definitely make EA step up their game, competition means a higher budget & a lot more resources to play around with to make sure they're still top dog, if 2K can pull off a great game the only concerns for me will be the roster & the control style, the ongoing war between FIFA & PES shows that competition really does make for better games...

I remember that game. The presentation was spot on. It was way better than Madden. Just think, 2k came with a far superior game than EA and that was 6 years ago. They demolished EA's NBA Live and NBA Elite series so just imagine if they really went all out with presentation and gameplay in a boxing game. We will be saying goodbye to Fight Night and I bet EA will scramble to implement things in Fight Night that they should have implemented years ago instead of nickel and diming us with what we have now.

This day is going to come. 2K Sports will definitely out do EA in terms of a boxing game when handled properly and taken seriously. I own NBA 2K11 and it is a Jewel. Gameplay plus authentic presentation. Safe to say that EA need not worry about producing anymore NBA basketball games.

Bobby Starsky has a point, the first game in the series won't automatically be on par with EA's franchise. But it is possible. For example, EA's Skate basically killed the Tony Hawk series (Tony Hawk had, however, been arcade from the beginning and didn't even try to grasp the concept of simulation).

Despite some minor flaws in gameplay I'm quite fond of EA's analog stick controls. I originally bought Fight Night 2004 because of them. I hope that if 2K releases a new boxing game they come up with something as innovative.

i hope this is true only thing i worry about is the roster because obviously EA have contracts with fighters and to have a boxing game without people like ali friazier foreman lennox tyson holyfeild jones jr hagler hearns leonard duran pacquaio mosley ray robinson hopkins............you see where im going with this if they did theres big chance they wouldnt have them fighters and plus never played 2k's baseball game but far as im concerned baseball sucks anyway so would be hard to make that game seem good in any aspect to me lol and if 2k can reprisent boxing how they have with basket ball then screw EA.

my personal opinion EA can make this game much more sim but they only got money on there mind so they have to comprimise for for unsim fans to fnc is good but only 50% sim to me.
