I think that they are using "open world" to describe big enviroments, not free roam. Free roam wouldn't fit well with this game, where there are different locations. But, you probably will be able to go wherever you want in the enviroment during a cop chase, which could also be what they meant. Either way, I'm stoked.

I don't even care....This will be the best current gen NFS ever!!!! PS:I've watched the video 4 times just to make sure i wasn't dreaming.

Hell yeah! I just saw the good news on E3 on G4! I'm an old school fan of NFS from back in it's first days. Hell what was that on the PS1? PC? I lost track. lol

Anyway, I hate NFS Pro Street and Shi(f)t. But I love NFS Most Wanted and Undercover. So I am extremely happy to see that they let Criterion go back to the core roots of why I loved NFS!

And the ability to play as a cop, as well as a racer campaign, is awesome! (I hope we can do that online Multi too). Can you say replay value! Hell, I might actually buy it rather than rent it for once, if it's as good as I hope it is!

I also hope they make it as fun as BURNOUT 3 on the old xbox. They never got the core fun of that back in all these years and it is sorely missed by a lot of hardcore fans.

Please be killer this time! EA! FOCUS!

Free roam or not, all I see is non-riced up exotics.

Notice the Pursuit Lambo is back! NFS3 & 4 was the Diablo SV, NFS 6 was the Murci, and now the Reventon.
