to only let you, OR your son, play in one random tourney a week, AND still allow you both to play in every other tourney doesnt seem unfair to me. i would endorse shutting off the course in the game totally for practice rounds also, but i dont know if thats possible. its prob only 1 out of 30+ tournaments.
That does sound fair; I suppose. Shutting off a course for practice in offline mode is not realistic.
However, all of these issue could be fixed by:
1. Toss Live Weather altogether for tournaments; since it is the easiest way to consistently reproduce playing conditions in which to practice.
2. Replace Live Weather with Random wind speed and direction for every attempt made in the tournament. It would work like this: I play the Tier 10 tournament today and hole one has a 3 MPH wind from 6:00. You start playing at the same time and hole #1 has a 3MPH wind from 4:00.
3. Make ALL TOURNAMENTS single-try only. The concept of multiple attempt tournaments never made much sense to me. If you called them Daily Sweepstakes then it might make sense?!!? !? :\
4. Disable the ability to save a Tournament round to GamerNet.

Have any of these changes been made yet?

Agree, but is it better than static winds for every hole for every player? It seems those are our two options this year.

I've been asking for this for months, EA has seen what static and Live Weather does to scoring with the club challenges, and still we can't get Random winds. Seems to me that they can't do it this year.

I love this idea, it will just make the multi-account players that much harder to displace from the top. But really does it matter? If you have all day to play the tournies you will find a way around anything put in place by EA to make scoring harder. I'm feeling fatalistic here.

You most certainly CAN save a tournament round to gamernet. A few of my best Extreme rounds are saved and up on gamernet.

I put the game down for about 6 months and have recently come back, yet being an avid sports gamer and working at a video game company I realize some of these things can be fit into the current iteration. Just not sure why you speak as if you're some sort of authority, especially to someone like a developer who actually is.

I think what BuddhaShell meant to say was:
"Will not be done in this version".
To say "cannot" be done is just absurd. You cannot program a computer to accurately pick tomorrow night's lottery numbers. You CAN change a program to add functionality or remove it for that matter. That's what developers are paid to do. So again, I think the proper word phrase here is that EA has decided they will not do that; not that they cannot.

Hello EA Devs, Please change Daily Tour to Single Try Instead of Single Submission.
I believe too many players are replaying their round until they get a great score before they submit.
The player that shot a unbelievable score at the Daily Tour at Pebble Beach last week told me he play it over 10 times before he submit his score because he was determine to win & he did.
As I've said over & over all Tour Tournaments should be Single-try.
Even though Single Try isnt perfect either because there is still a handful of players that have multiple accounts & play the tournaments more than once. But I believe if you went to a real random wind that would help eliminate this problem.
Thanks for listening.

Amen, agree with everything 100%.
I find it almost funny to see the same people posting these -20's and better scores in Tour Pro day in and day out. Guys...we can see your stats. Nobody gets 1-2 aces every day. If a course has four par 5's, nobody is getting six eagles day in and day out except those who are mapping/retrying.
The point is...we know who you are. Mapping/retrying and posting a low score is NOT impressive. Maybe you are doing it for rank, but because you are doing this your rank is NOT impressive.
I played Oakmont today and had a bogey and finished at -12. Not my best day, but I live with it. I don't bogey often but as a human and only trying once it will occur. Some of these mapping/retry'ers think there is no such thing as a par in this game. Anyone who never par's on Tour Pro is kidding themselves...but they aren't kidding the rest of us. Many of them won't play the Extreme's since they can't map/retry.
While it's not against the rules to redo tourneys right now, I do have alot more respect for those who obviously aren't giving themselves full round mulligans.
Please Support Extreme Tournaments to show EA we want more types of 1-try tournaments.

Let me first start by saying I think I'm a good Tour Player ( Not Elite).
I've been back playing the Daily Tour & Extreme Tournaments for the last 2 Weeks ( Also glad to report to you guys that I've been using my sixasis when playing).
I've been very successful in the Extreme Tournament with 13 top 25's out of 14 tournaments with 4 top 10's & a 2nd place finish at Sheshan (-11).
My rounds have range from -2 to -11
Now the Daily Tour has been another story out of 14 events I have only 4 tops 25's & no top 10's .
My rounds in the Daily Tour have range from -10 to -20.
Please change the Daily Tour from Single Submission to Single-Try
Just my 2cents.

I agree......single try is much better. I get tired of seeing the same names on the daily but when you look to see how they faired in single try they are no where to be found. Now I don't claim to be on the level of the elite but for a 26 year old father of two I can hold my own and play when I get the time. I don't have time to sit in one spot for hours to map a course out. I now only play single try (yes I play amateur mainly because its easier to find a game...tryed tour but most people quit those on the first hole). The same people that win the dailys are no where to be found on single try....either they get burned because they can't get their "do over" or they don't play at all which is pretty corny. I would personally like to see all tourneys be single try.
