This is a list I'm putting together. I only had time to do a couple sections.. as I'm filling it in when I can and as I get ideas. I will add ideas and clean later.

Went on and made it official. 8 pages of ideas from our community.

(** for wishlist/wanted items)
Gameplay

-More pushes for a wider range of speed. 5 or so pushes for max speed on flat
-Catching flips**
-Better Transitional skating. (Skating Tranny in this game is very wonky and needs an overhaul.. Better than skate 1 but still needs work)

--Variations For:
-Manuals
-Grinds
-Plants
-Stalls

--Manuals should have a one foot option. If we can one foot during an ollie. Put it on our mannys! Straight up.
-Getting more than one push style back. (Taking them away in Skate 2 was a definite a blow to the gut--
-More animations for landings

Customization

-More in-depth CAS for facial and body features to create a better/more true to what you're aiming for kind of skater. Some like to replicate themselves.
--Body types
Height
Weight
Build

--Hair styles
Cornrows (Not the little short I AINT GOT NO HAIR cornrows)
Fades
Ceaser
Buzz
Spikes
Slicked
Bowl
Mohawk
Long/extra long/wild-messy/
Messe-bed head
Bald
Comb-over (DON'T TAKE THAT OUT.. DEMZ WOULD LOOK FOOLISH WITHOUT IT HAHAHA)
Actual AFROS.
Dreads short/medium/long
-and whatever else added would be better. More is better!

--Facial Hair (Facial hair that doesnt look like its painted on with MS paint maybe?
Facial skin definition. To get that "aged look". Some kind of DETAIL IN THE FACE.
Age.. Maybe it can define how aged your face would look. Everybody looks about 19 years old even with the face painted beard.

-More clothing options.
Example
Shirt sizes-
--Small, medium, large, extra large, perfect fit

T-Shirt style-
--Tucked, untucked, tucked in front, layered shirts for long sleeve under T-shirt, colorization of BOTH shirts

Short Sleeve Button up shirts-
--Buttoned up, Unbuttoned, One button at the top, Half buttoned, layered shirts UNDER the button up, logo'd shirt under button up, colorization of the undershirt, Long sleeve or short sleeve T-shirt under the short sleeve button up.

Long Sleeve Button Up-
-- Buttoned up, Unbuttoned, One button at the top, Half Buttoned, Layered shirts UNDER the button, Logo'd shirt under the button up, colorization of the undershirt.

Hooded sweatshirts-
(The hooded ZIP UP sweatshirts were wack, They looked like a dress whether they were zipped up or not)
--Options for Zipped up
Hood up hat on
hood down
Rolled up sleeves
Ripped off sleeves
Baggy shirt hanging out sweater

--Options for Unzipped
Hood up
Hood up, hat on
Hood up, hat on, sleeves rolled up
Custom shirt visible with custom colorization and logo(sleeves rolled/ripped off option for this)
Rolled up sleeves
Ripped off sleeves

--Options for Half zipped
Hood up
Hood up, hat on
Hood up, hat on, sleeves rolled up
Rolled up sleeves
Ripped off sleeves
Baggy shirt hanging out sweater

--Jeans
(BAGGY LEGIT LOOKING JEANS!!!!!)
Fitted jeans (Not too tight.. Not too baggy)
Baggy BAGGY jeans
Skinny/tight heans
Corduroy pants
Sweat pants (Get our Brandon Biebel on!! LOL)
Legit Jean shorts.. The shorts were really bad in this game.
Khaki shorts
-An even amount of each kind of jeans. Not one style more than the other.
--Options for jeans should include how they fall around the shoe.. The baggy geans in this game looks weird around the shoe. Like a tuck in or a bunch up above the shoe option for Hi-Top shoes such as TK's Vaders..

Example of the option for hi-tops(more of a FITTED but baggy):

Perfect Fit Jeans Example:

Example of how they lay ON the shoe:

-More miscellaneous items such as Bandannas (placements in the back pocket, neck, wrist, face or head) Earrings, different piercings, Chains (for those who like to ride with.....chains) The chains in this game look sooo bad. It looks like someone power linked it so it wouldn't move like those chains steering wheels and threw it on the neck. I know that's not a major point of interest... but those things count.. can we get some SWANG, Black Box? Lol.

Spots
More LIFE LIKE locations. Spots that make you go OH SNAP, LOOK AT THIS HERE!!!

Too many locations without grind spines.. (Take GED High for example. Those brick banks right after the yellow rail going torwards the stacks.. Those things dont have a grind spine. Lots of spots are ungrindable that SHOULD be grindable. Yeah ungrindable spots are dope but some spots stick out like a sore thumb.. You skate it assuming this spot is seriously grindable and BAM.. you sit there for 3 minutes swearing up and down that you're just not hitting this spot right.. It sucks. BAD.. We need more grindage!

Stupid open spaces behind buildings that make NO sense. Thats space that could have been used for a new spot somewhere else. The level design is overall BLAH.. Oh yeah it DOES work (no disrespect to BB) but this city can be very ONE DIMENSIONAL and looks like it was just throw together on the corners. Maybe its because we're exploring WAYYY to hard to find spots and come across these things that the causal gamer wont care about but sheesh. It's a skateboarding game. We need more spots! A lot of us feel like we're doing more pushing looking for spots rather than skating them thus burning out before we even begin. We would rather look for ANOTHER spot to skate than to look for one to skate in general.

Presentation

-Night time or Day/Night cycle. (Possible overcast?)
-***Possibly some better clothes animation (such as jumping off of something wearing an unbuttoned shirt, your shirt goes up or if you're skating super fast, your shirt/jeans show effects during speed increase due to wind) -That's just a wish!*

Bugs/Gripes

Real Switch needs to initiated, not "Fixed". Real switch needs to finally be an actual switch stance. Still using the "mirrored" control scheme while in RS(RS stands for real switch) but the stance needs to be OFFICIAL. Including the NON fakie look of grinds when actuated. For example, Back crooks look like a salad would in your regular stance.. Or like you started the grind in fakie. Real switch needs to finally look like a real switch stance. I know that the reason why the switch stance looks so perfect is because you were aiming at the fact that your character has MAX ability, thus not showing any imperfections of his skill because well, he has full skill acquired. There are no stats to gain and no skills to perfect except the trick motion of itself.. but a lot of us feel it's time to get that genuine switch stance difference. OR at least make it an option**(look in wishlist)

-Camera lens (10mm glitch) Should be an option in Skate 3. The ability to zoom in past 200mm. And an option for either a more realistic looking fisheye or a way to zoom down to 10mm.

**Wishlist(for what's a bit OUTSIDE the "possible")
-More of a CITY kind of city. Like GTA 4 for example. Tons of spots! Not a city built for skating but damn if you can't skate the madness out of it. Still having its "point of interest" for the causal gamer but built more as a city. San Van was a city that was just TOO "skater friendly" rendering it a bid odd in some cases and felt a bit over done. Which works for casual gamers and its cool but for it to be a bit less "out of the oridinary" like huge red rails and quarterpipes just sitting in downtown with a buch of bike racks for no reason. Sure handy and availble yes but it also seemed to detract from the already BUILT IN skating spots..

-A physics overhaul or a simple gravity induction. To reduce the moonman physics we have now. People don't understand that the city is built large because the physics are very demanding. It would look foolish to skate small objects when we already pop 4-5 feet over it already.. Simply low-popping is still too high to skate these "normal" sized objects.. So a complete re-do of the physics would leave the city to be designed in a fashion that would allow not only MORE spots possibly. The size of some of those stairsets allow for like 2-3 actual good spots that could have been there to skate realistically.

-The ability to catch flips and control rotation speed/crouching to land large drops Even as an option would be really great and satisfying for the "sim" heads out there. I've come across a LOT of people outside this forum in not only public matches but casual gamers I come across in real life that play this game and complain that it felt too BIG. Felt more unrealistic.. these were hardcore fans of skate 1. While our community IS a very very very small portion of the sales on this game it goes to show you that there are still a lot of people out there who feel this game IS dope nonetheless but is a bit TOO on the "large" side. No, those 20-30 some odd people i've ran into that have explained their gripe with the physics of this game dont make up for nearly the amount of people, the casual gamers who purchase this game... but for every one voice like ours there is 100 to match. So an option at the very least to have this realistic option for skate 3 would be a serious gift and HIGHLY appreciated. You DO have a lot of hardcore sim/realism players that play this game realistically and arent even on the forums. We appreciate you taking the time out to even pay attention to this list and interact with this community like you do. We're very fortunate (some of us not so appreciative) to have you work so closely to us, Black Box.

-A PRIVATE SKATE REEL!! Keeping your skate reel closed to the public. A lot of people have things they don't want others to see just yet. Not just us who make vids on this forum. Possibly a way to only let people you select, see your skate reel. Website wise and in game wise. Maybe a friends option that only allows people on your friendslist to view in game, and an invitation/friends system that allows you to accept and let that person view your reel.

Technical Issues

-When getting TOO close to the skater, your skater becomes transparent. We call it "ghosting". This NEEDS to be fixed. A lot of wasted shots and time because of this tiny little thing. It's ok in career when you NEED to see in front of you but in the replay the skater should not go transparent.

When zooming in from far on your skater, your shirt does what a few of us call the "firecracker" breaking in and out of its color.. Looks like a Japanese horror flick.

Replay Editor (Advanced free cam) when filming.. If the camera touches a solid object, wall, ceiling or ground it disables the last 2 to a whopping FIVE markers, rendering those clips "spazzed" out and all over the place. This has been worked around by a lot of us but in Skate 3, it would be nice if this could be addressed.

I'll update with a full wishlist later...

but, one thing that's been getting on my nerves with other people's requests is they want it TOO realistic. Say when you break a board, you have to call up a buddy and go to the skate shop to get a new one. What would be the point of that? There's a difference between making a game overly realistic and tedious, and just being a game.

Also, I think bretish brought this up the most, how it takes two pushes to clear a 10 stair or some *. I'm fine with the 2 pushes to clear stairs, honestly. Again, it's a GAME. The two pushes that we have now are there because it's accessible. I don't want to have to bomb a hill just to clear some stairs.

I think Bretesh had a point though, in OG Skate it took 3 pushes to get to top speed, in Skate 2 that second push gives you quite a boost and forces you to get good at the 1 1/2 pushes haha... I would love if they made the max speed like 5 pushes, that way each push would give a more gradual increase in speed and you would have more control.

I think instead of calling a budddy, to get a new skateboard. you should get out of your backpack. and not completely slowing you down. but just slightly slowing down the pushing physics.

- 5 pushes to get to max speed on flat, a gradual increase 1-5
- get rid of endless momentum, a couple pushes and you roll forever
- catching tricks
- crouching on impact to land drops
- balancing grinds/manuals
- separate board and body rotation
- better no-comply and boneless variations
- ability to do low flatground fingerflips, footplants ect
- footplants without grabbing
- actual hippie flips, in game, not having to glitch
- less/no magnetism into grinds
- better CAS, and bring back the loose/aggressive styles or more...
- ability to turn off the AI skaters, or at least stop them from flocking to you and ruining your set ups
- get rid of the auto pumping on transitions
- improve physics, less floating, less air off ramps
- bigger variety of moveables, more small quirky ones
- spawn moveable objects to your location with a van, make it a skipable sequence
- buy a warehouse, build your own park, MOVEABLES NEVER RESET
- give moveables weight so they dont go flying
- make it easier to tilt/flip/lift moveables
- bring back true switch, make true switch/fakie the only way to do it, which will let you pump
- when filming, no skater going transparent
- have a separate timeline for slomo markers and camera markers

Movable ungrindables (besides the lip of quarters and mini launch shhhh)
Bigger sign and or plywood
Just a pipe and just a 2x4 and make them positionable without using something else.
Cancel out of boardslides better
Make movables lock to spot not to session marker. If i want to nudge my angle it sux having to relink all movables.
Full board/shirt gc and more layers.
Make hippy button work in grinds slides.
If you grab stay grabbing no matter what, slides grinds ollie motion gives a lil grab hop?
Real pivots, and get rid off noise on current revert im sick of it
Always be able to take off foot, plant foot on tranny, push board up over coping and bring back

I don't like catching my tricks or crouching on impact so much. I don't want it to be like madden with all these specific details.

my wishlist is plain and simple.

A Hella better map.
Fix some problems with Filmers Pack.
Improve walking/Running.
More Tricks + Tweaks

AND of course.

More Options for us Skate 2 Video Makers. Such as a more flexible Skate. reel. In game Ramp maybe.

its a way of adding at least some challenge to doing sets and easy stuff. And with catching tricks that lets you control the speed of your flips, imagine nice slow flips down sets catching it like half way down instead of right away..

Filmer pack problems?

I know this is a game for everyone but i sure hope they spend more time on better things than clothes and how real our skater looks walking up stairs.

i copied a lot of this from other people but then i added my own stuff too, sorry if its alot

- more tricks, i would like double varial kicklips and double varial heelflips especially
- change pushing, it takes 5 or more pushes to get to max speed, so we can have more control when trying to go slow.
- catching fliptricks, maybe not for flatground but for stairsets and gaps you should have to catch
- catching fliptricks in vert, when you do a kickflip in vert it will float away from your body until you grab it with your hand (therefore better kickflip indy animation), same with all fliptricks in vert
- have a way to slow the speed of fliptrick rotation when you ollie(so you don't catch your treflip a third of the way down on a stairset)
- a way to do boned out ollie's, or a tweaked out ollie after a flip trick(perhaps clicking and holding the right stick brings your knee's in and then moving the stick forward bone's out the ollie)
- crouching is required to land big drops(maybe stick click again)
- less grind magnetism
- balancing grinds, long grinds on skinny rails require balancing once you start to lose your speed
- balancing manuals, long manuals need balancing once you start losing speed
- one footed manuals and grinds, balancing is WAY harder for these
- have to option to detach body rotation from board rotation when you ollie so body varial tricks are possible and look way better(perhaps clicking and holding the left stick as you ollie detaches your board from body rotation)
- no comply variations(shuvs, flips, rotations and pivots)
- better pivots in general
- the ability to do a grab in the air, hold it and land in grind, and then be able to do a fingerflip out of the grind(example, nosegrind, land in 5-0 grind, and fingerflip out of the 5-0), also same thing with manuals (hand stays on board the whole time)
- faster fingerlips, perhaps varations(two hand finger flips, different flips)
- doing an ollie while grabbing scoops the board(to get out of stalls and stuff)
- footplants without grabbing(i would happily give up ollie norths for this), perhaps with fliptricks too
- the ability to bank back into a quarter pipe or miniramp while grinding in one fluid motion (so you don't always have to ollie back out of the grind or slow down and drop back in)
- better spins in quarterpipe's, perhaps you can get a faster rotation if you wind the left stick as you ollie, the faster spin is lost if you do anymore than an indy or a melon, that way you don't need a ton of air to do a 720s (these should be harder to land too if done faster).
- no more auto boost in transitions, if we want a speed boost we should have to pump for it
- better physics, no more air boosts off of stairsets or ramps, less floaty jumps, lower ollie out of grinds, the ability to do quick 180s out of grinds
- spawnable movable objects
- a private warehouse to build your own skatepark, lots of movables that are spawnable, and make it saveable(HUGE warehouse please)
- make it easier to manipulate movables, flip and tilt them, also a larger variety and many sizes of plywood
- an option to allow pumping and pushing in true switch
- the ability to switch from fakie to regular in a push instead of a 180 hippy jump
- skater never goes invisible while filming
- allow hippy jumps while in 50-50 or boardslide
- a career mode that focuses on the player's skating, meaning, more video challenges and photo challenges where you choose the spot and/or the trick, and coverage that puts emphasis on the player's personal style, a cool addition would be the ability to skate, film, and save your own clips and then have the game edit 10 or so of them into video part for your board sponsor, that way solo video's could be a part of the game, and maybe edit it together with ingame clips of the pro's in your same board company so its like your skater is part of the team video
- a more in-depth create a skater, way more clothes and boards
- bring back different pushing styles, and add fliptrick customization(example, you can choose to have either really horizontal hardflips or really vertical ones or one in the middle, really flat tre flips or really scoopy ones, a normal frontside flip or a chad muska frontside flip)
- the ability to manipulate the board while grinding without doing an ollie(example, doing the obvious right stick movements to do grind switches, like, boardslide to 5-0, 5-0 to tailslide, crooked grind to switch salad), you should be able to do these swichtes quickly and cleanly
- the ability to do reverts while grinding (so doing a noseslide to tailslide can be done cleanly without needing a huge pop, same with nosegrind to switch 5-0)
- gameworld, more and better miniramps
- a world layout that makes it way easier to skate from spot to spot in the city, and an improved map that makes finding places better(like skate 1 basically)
- better spots inbetween skateparks and plaza's, sidewalk lines are always fun
- have the Community Center in the main game, and give us our red rails back and make them static

and finally, the most important one

-THE ABILITY TO TURN OFF AI SKATERS, pppllleeaassseee..

Do it! http://www.youtube.com/user/yellowsnowSkateVids

I agree with all that, but they should have separated board and body before they released this game. That was my biggest letdown.

My only wishes are that they separate board and body rotation, AND
Make true switch better looking; I don't like my switch smith grinds looking like inverted willy grinds...

my ideas:

- NEW MAP.... for real guys... if i see another san van, i might have second thoughts on buying the game. Also take advantage of the "virtual" space you have... cougar mountain is fun, but you guys practically took up half of san van with that bs... so much room for potential spots

- PLEASE make the computer skaters optional.... they keep bumping into me lol

- give us more stuff in CAS... we want more hairstyles, clothes etc. (tight pants were cool in s1, but for some reason u guys forgot it this game).... also let us change our skater in freeskate/online

- fix online play... we NEED an online replay editor and ability to upload online.... we also need more than six players to a freeskate game... at least bump it up to 8 (xbox live party limit)

- try to make the story mode a little less about points... I liked the pro skater challenges from skate1 where you had to do a certain trick at a certain spot.... not racking up points for no reason... I bought the "time is money" pack because of the "hawking," not because i love EA and i want to give them more money they dont need

- let us ramp slomo is replay editor.... its actually very easy to do:
1. pick the spot in between markers to slomo
2. choose the percent of slomo (at this point, its basically what you do to get a regular slomo)
3. put a special "ramp" marker in the middle of the 2 markers and make it like a "climax marker" where it is at its slowest point, and before/after it hits that middle point, it speeds back up to where it was before

- when saving a slowed down clip in replay editor, make the pitch get lower if the clip is slower.... I find it weird that it stayed the same no matter how slow the clip is

*might edit this post with more thoughts later on

bigger map, so big that a map comes with the game and you have to mark spots. stop with this downhill *, theres a such thing as flatground. more variety of handrails. more hair styles and other characterizations to individualize your skater.
