In a nutshell EVERYTHING I've purchased for unlocks are locked and unusable. They did work until Sunday when I tried to make some changes to my player's boosts slots.

I can no longer use purchased equipment. They're locked. If I change to a gameplay unlocked item, that works, but, my purchased booster slots are all locked which is not very useful.

My sniper and offensive dman and sniper booster packs are locked. If I try to repurchase, the game crashes forcing a ps3 reboot.

What I've tried to fix

Backup all game data saves.

1. Deleted all game data, saves and profiles through XMB. Launch game, apply patch, exit, goto playstation store, re-download all purchases. Launch game. Everything is locked.

2. Deleted all game data, saves and profiles through XMB. Goto playstation store, download kane ulock. Launch game, cancel patch. Goto profile, kane stuff is still locked.

3. Deleted all game data, saves and profiles through XMB. Goto playstation store, download everything. Launch game, apply patch. Launch game, Still locked.

I'm opposed to the whole booster deal first of all, but in order to compete in clubs off the bat, you don't have much choice buying this crap. Needless to say, $120 Buckaroos for a game with OTP player with no "boosters" is a little frustrating. Hoping for a fix, please advise.

Something else I've tried.

Deleted all game data, saves and profiles through XMB.
Launch game, apply patch.
Go to profile, apply the 1point stick boost I unlocked through an actual achievement
Go to boost slot for that stick.
Purchase the 1+ slap shot power boost for 99Cents
Download
Game freezes at the http://redstorm.rareexample.ca/files/IMG_0297.jpgloading screen.

The transaction does go through and I've let it sit there for 30 minutes, stuck on that screen.

You can't use "Boost Packs" with the single "boost" attributes. You can only use one or the other.
So if you already are wearing the gold equipment aka boost pack, then you will have to remove that gear and use your boost slots on other gear.

I completely understand how all the boosts work, they were working.

In one sentence. Everything I've purchased in the list above, is locked, unselectable, unusable in any combination shape or form.

I called EA customer support and after 40 minutes of explaining this

They said it was a Sony Problem and to call 1800345-sony

Working in this business, I understand the endless loop of support "It's not our fault it's their fault."

So I called Sony, knowing this has nothing to do with Sony and as expected, they said it had nothing to do with them but to contact EA.

So again, no options, no unlocks looking like my only option is to create a new account and start from scratch?

Also, Sony stated I can not get refunded for any of the unlocks...

40 bucks of unusable purchases.

Wow, that really is bad news. Hope you can get it resolved.

Now saying they have to escalate the ticket.

Issue has been resolved with the user doing the following steps:

• Backup all your game saves for that profile. Backup your whole ps3.
•
• Make sure you know your psnid email and password...
•
• Now triangle your account name in PS3 and delete it. This will delete everything in that account.
•
• Now re-add your account and configure all your details and re-add your psnid pass...
•
• Re-download all your boosters from PSN store
•
• Launch NHL

Another troubleshooting idea that may help:

Create a new user profile and bind his PSN account there, then download NHL boosters and retry the game.

If you only have one PS3, delete and re-create the user profile, BUT you should first:
1. backup ALL of his save data
2. synchronize his Trophy collection to PSN
3. XMB PSN > Account Management > System Activation > PS3 > Game > Deactivate System

You can then delete just your user profile with XMB Users > [User] > Delete,
Or you can wipe your entire system with XMB Settings > System Settings > Restore PS3 System > Quick Format.
