For those that are still experiencing frequent disconnects while playing online, can you please reply to this thread or PM me with your online persona name and a general idea of when they have occured? Having that info would help the server guys investigating the issue. Thanks.

Hello Eric,
I have played TW10 for almost a month now and the one thing that drives me insane is the message, "the game no longer exists". It happens all the time and it is not a timing issue. Will please look into that? I have seen complaints about it on this site.
Thanks

I've read before that having a firewall enabled on a router can cause disconnects in TW. While it is not difficult to disable a firewall, it does leave your home network accessible to attacks. I find it hard to believe, from a security standpoint, that having your firewall disabled is a requirement for playing TW online. If I'm wrong about this please let me know.

Well you can open specific ports on the firewall or put your Wii in the DMZ of the router.

Guys, this wasn't meant as a general discussion thread for online issues, so please only reply if you are experiencing frequent disconnects while playng online. Be sure to include your persona and the approximate times of the disconnects so that we can try and trace the issue.

I've had numerous disconnects during on line games, and have been charged loses for all of them. I don't know how many of my total loses are due to this but I know it equals my unintentional disconnects.
I've carried an email conversation with your support group and none of their suggestions have made a difference, the only way to seem to cut most of them out is to sign out after each game and then go back on line to play your next game.
My on line name is Biggeo

I had a couple more disconnects this weekend, Saturday afternoon. One time, I'm pretty sure the other player quit (he just double bogeyed in a close match on the 5th hole). Not sure what the disconnect was in the other match. The thing is, I was leading in both matches, but they both registered as losses, and my drop ratio went up from 25% to 28% (I've never purposely quit an online game). Very frustrating. I did have one match that went 18 holes.
BTW, I have a Belkin wireless N router, and my firewall is turned off when I play online.

Lots of disconnects last night, almost always resulting in a loss and drop registered.
Again, I have a Belkin Wireless N router, firewall turned off.

On Sep 19, I played against Kotter at BethPage. It was about 10 PM EST. It was an AS game until I went up one stroke on the 9th. On the 13th he disconnected with me up two strokes. Right after he dropped, I was disconnected from the server. Imagine my shock when I logged on to find that I was charged with a LOSS!!!! That bogus loss cost me 63 spots in my ranking. Can anyone explain how this could happen???
This is not the first time this has happened, but now it is causing me large drops in my ranking. Bummer.
