We’re creating a new way for all of you to play Live Tournaments!

Starting Next week we will be opening up a new Community Appreciation channel within the Live Tournaments feature. Within this channel we will create VIP tournaments for you guys to compete in. What you need to do in the mean time is round up all the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR gamers you know and create a group of golfers or “CLUB”. Your club will get its own unique VIP tournament within the Live Tournaments Community Appreciation channel. Starting on Tuesday (Sept 29th) we’ll start these new tournaments and each club will play in their respective VIP tournaments. The individual club with the best average round score at the end of the tournament (Thursday) will get a shot at the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Dev Team’s club in an exclusive VIP Live Tournament next Saturday and Sunday (Oct 3rd and 4th).

We’ve included an introductory video below and some instructions for you guys on how to get your clubs created. Please follow these steps in order to create a valid club. For additional information and updates, please come back here to the forums or visit our Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 facebook page.

Here are some instructions on what you need to do to create a valid club for next week's Community Appreciation Tournament:

If you want to be the organizer and begin creating and building your clubs please follow the guidelines below:

From your main facebook page please add “Ea Brandt” as a friend. This will allow you to make “Ea Brandt” an admin for your clubs page so that we can directly interact with your club and get you in the game. (Adding “Ea Brandt” as an admin is a must)

Once you have sent a friend request/added “Ea Brandt” you are now ready to begin creating your club.

Select Applications from the bottom left hand corner of the screen then select “Ads and Pages”. Select pages from the top to begin your fan page.

For your page type please select “Sports Team” located under the (Artist, Band or Public Figure) section.
Your Club name is up to you but keep in mind that inappropriate or suggestive club names will not be recognized!
(Please do not use Tiger Woods PGA TOUR in your club name in any way)

Once your page is created your welcome to create your own logo for your team and display is as your profile photo.

Once your page is created select the “Info” tab and follow the guidelines below:
Members:
Xbox 360
Gamertag, Gamertag, Gamertag, etc

Playstation 3
PSN ID, PSN ID, PSN ID, etc
(This will allow us to see who is playing and on what platform for your club)

Affiliation: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/pages/Tiger-Woods-PGA-TOUR-10/67899739671?ref=ts
(Please use the main Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 facebook page as your affiliation)

City/Town: YourCity
(This allows us to highlight specific teams for potential future regional matchups)

After that it’s up to you! Start recruiting team members and amass as many fans as possible. We will be watching so look for updates from us on your progress and we’ll see you in-game!

Nice.. but it'd be much more appreciated if you fixed the "default clubs" bug first.

Is there a min/max number of people you need for your club? I can already see a club abusing the minimum to gain the best "average" round. I think it should be the average of the minimum club requirement instead of everyone in the club, but, that's just my opinion.

Sounds like a neat idea. Obviously you have to be a member of FB to set up a group, but, do all of your club members have to be registered on Facebook as well?

For the first week, clubs need to have at least 20 members/players (Have Gamertags posted on the club page) and 50 fans. Remember to continue recruiting new members because the challenges will become tougher each week! (aka, will need more club members to qualify for the next week) All members should first become fans of the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Facebook page. Then when you make a club page, make sure to include all the Gamertags in the members section. Visit the CaddySharks team page for an example.

Thanks for the response. I think you answered everything except the part if all our club members have to be facebook members or not to participate?

Or, can we just list there gamertags if they don't have Facebook accounts?

Looks like we forgot to write about how to add "Ea Brandt" as an Admin.

*After you create your Facebook club, select "Ads and Pages", then select "Pages" near the top. Then select "Edit Page" on your New Club Page. Notice the Admin section on the right hand side. Add "EA Brandt" so I can see your club page. Thanks

This sounds nice and all but my guess is that there will be clubs composed of those people that dominate the live leaderboard now with scores of -30 for 18 holes.

Couple of more questions (for now).

Do clubs have to be console specific or can we have a mix of both 360 and PS3 members in our club?

If the answer to that is yes, do scores from both consoles go into the same average, or, are the averages separated based on what console you play on?

Thanks in advance.

I do have one question, will these Community Appreciation Tournaments be in Tour Pro Mode or Balanced Mode?

I'm hoping their Tour, as are many of my golfing buddies

This is a developement I'll have to watch. There are still lots of questions to be answered about how it will be implemented, but I applaude EA Sports for standing by this game with new wrinkles. I anticipate that we'll see a Hori club for the PS3 and a Joytech team for the 360
