Terms of Service, Forum Guidelines and Forum Functionality
All of our forums are moderated according to the EA Terms of Service linked at the bottom of every page. When you created your account, you agreed to these terms so it is important that you understand what is expected and what is not allowed. Although we have included specific rules below to help you stick to the ToS, it is important to review the terms and ask questions if you don’t know what something means. Even if you were not aware of one of the conditions of the ToS, you are still held accountable if a violation is committed using your account.

EA’s Terms of service can be found here:

The Forum Guidelines can be found here:

Some Rule Clarification
Naming a user you feel should be avoided for x reason violates the ToS, specifically this part:
Personal Attack Defined: Harass, threaten, embarrass, or do anything else to another player that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc.

Off-topic posts addressing the moderators or another user is a violation of the ToS(Use PM's instead), specifically this part:
Board Disruption Defined: Disrupt the flow of chat in chat rooms with vulgar language, abusiveness, hitting the return key repeatedly or inputting large images so the screen goes by too fast to read, use of excessive shouting [all caps] in an attempt to disturb other users, "spamming" or flooding [posting repetitive text].

Moderators and Staff
Moderators are volunteers who are passionate about the game and spend so much of their personal time helping out on the forums that EA staff members have granted them a special status. Although they may help with ToS/rules moderation by hiding or moving posts and threads, they are not EA staff and cannot affect your account in any way. Contact a moderator if you have a game/forum question, see a public post that is a ToS violation, or wish to forward information on users cheating in online games. If you have a question or concern about a moderator, please contact an EA staff member.

EA Staff are denoted by rankings showing whether they are Developers, Community Staff, or Administrators. Developers work on the game and may stop in to explain game mechanics or check out feedback. Community managers are usually very active and are your main resource for information, answers, and handling your game feedback. Administrators are Support staff that help upkeep the forums as well as post information to resolve issues that users may have with the game.

Contacting moderators and staff: Moderators and staff do check our PMs as often as possible, but please use some care in contacting us. We want to give attention to the most pressing issues via PM, so please have a look around the boards first and make sure your question or comment isn't something that's covered elsewhere. This will help us give attention to the most pressing items.

That being said, I would strongly encourage you to contact me through PM if you have any questions/concerns or if there's anything else you feel I should add to/clarify in this post.
