I play without the nunchuk for a couple of reasons: because I had a hard time learning to use it early on I stopped trying, and now since I've improved my overall play I tried it again but the nunchuk cord drives me nuts (whacking me in the face, etc.) so I put it away again. I don't have anything against players who use it though. It just bugs me a little knowing that I'll never reach the top 100-200 without it but that's not the fault of my opponents, that's just a personal choice I've made. I'm kind of interested in how high I can get in the rankings without the nunchuk.

I don't like the nunchuck much because the cord hits me in the face during my serve, so count me in. It's a personal choice I made.

I don't use Nunchuk and don't rush the net unless other player does.

You can add me! NastyNastase. But i must say, if you practice your ball placement you will see that it can be a very enjoyable game against nunchuck users. Nothing is quite as satisfying as seeing a nunchuck user commit to a cross court return as you slam it down the line!

Yeah, I tried playing with the nunchuk and gave it up pretty quickly for the same reasons many have already given. Count me (gambrinus) among the non-nunchukers.

Hey Montezuma, I was just playing you and you were using the nunchuk. Lets have a rematch with out using it, see how good you are then???

My father does not use a nunchuk, while I do, and we are 29 in the world in doubles (TWOCHIEFS). I did not read all replies to this forum, however I think it still can be a very equal match with or without nunchuks, as long as you can learn how to play without a nunchuk that is.
