Was trying to play online against a friend last night but when both hosting and joining game we both had bad connection messages. This seems peculiar because we are both able to host and join other users games. Although there are some guys we can not connect to. I have searched high and low for answers of which the most common seem to be port problems or delay issues. However surely if this was the case I wouldn't be able to play against anyone online.

Could it be version issues?

Same problem here.

Can't connect to EA servers, then when I do connect and get playing I get disconnected again.
I have to play at certain times of the day when there are not many people on the EA servers
My internet connect is fine and I never have problems with other (none EA) online games.

When you both can not start the match, both of you reboot and the match should start then. Also, let the game load your stats. Do not rush to hit x. Wait about 10 seconds. Waiting 10 seconds to start the match.

Are you running through a router?

What NAT type do you have? Look under ps3 main menu, network settings.

i have a better idea. just make it effn work. just got disconnected again. computer is online, and so is my playstation. no disconnect on this side. its from ea, AGAIN. talk about the crappiest online game ever. i used to play oregon trail over a telephone connection and it worked better. and that was with a 400 baud modem you stuck your phone into. i love the game but seriously.....

oops, another disconnect without anything else going offline. this game is close to going on ebay.

edit: no loss or dnf for that one though.

I don't experience any connection problems. Do a speed test under network settings after you reconfig your network settings. My average download speed is 10.2mbps & upload is 1.3mbps. You may need to get faster internet service. To each his own though - but i recommend it for this game, or any game you play online..??

When you experience this you should shut down all of your equipment. Unplug your modem & disconnect the cable line from it. Wait 5 mins then plug in your modem. You should plug your modem directly in to a wall outlet - run everything else through a surge protector. You should run a direct feed from your modem to your console (ethernet cat-5 line from modem to console). Try not to go though a router. It only slows down your speed. When you have your modem back up, ethernet line plugged in & all lights on your modem are on turn on your ps3. Preferably a hard reset on your ps3 (this is what i do). To do a hard reset you will need to hold down the reset button while you turn the main power button on in the back of the console. Keep it held down, you will hear a beep - keep it held down. Then you will hear a 2nd beep. This will reset your display resolution. After that go to your ps menu & go to settings, then network settings & run the netork configuration. Easy set up is fine. When your done do a speed test.

Basically what your doing is clearing any static in your line, refreshing your network & ip. Hope this helps.

everything else i have works. oh yeah and the ps3 and computer stays connected. like ive said this is the most tempermental game. my connection is 100% one disc wasnt mine. im not sure yet but i think its going on ebay monday.

edit: ive played gta4, gt5p, madden 07, 08, 09, 10, resistance FoM and TW09,10 are the worst by miles out of that bunch.
