Would be fun to hear about your trades in BAGM! I know there are different levels in BAGM that effects the trading part so write what level you play on also.

I feel that the trading in the game (on hard) is pretty realistic...at least the trades i have tryed to make...
I´m playing on hard with the Bruins and i´ve done one trade so far, getting close to trading deadline in my first season.

Recchi and my first rounder for Mike Comrie

You?

As the Flames:

Traded Dustin Boyd for Kyle Turris (PHO)

Traded Jay Bouwmeester for Henrik Zetterberg (DET)

I know, I traded away the Flames new savior...but have you seen his cyber-face? A little too fair weathered.

As Detroit on the default settings (medium?):
Brad Stuart, Andy Delmore, and Todd Bertuzzi for Ilya Kovalchuk.

The Atlanta GM said something like "I think the brass and fans would have my head if i didn't take this deal. We gladly accept"

Brian Rafalski and Kirk Maltby for Sergei Gonchar and Craig Adams

Kind of a feat since i edit Rafalski down to 79 or so and gonchar is an 87.

Nice trades! I remember Turris potencial from 09, when i got him to my Bruins
Since i´m a swede and like Zetterberg i like that trade as well. Would be cool to se him with Iginla...

As the Penguins...

Pascal Dupuis, Mike Rupp, 2nd round draft pick to TB for Ryan Malone (only guy from the 07-08 season the Pens didn't resign that I regret losing)

Luca Caputi, Ruslan Fedatenko, 1st round draft pick for Iilya Kovalchuk and some AHLer.

Malone trade was towards the beginning of the year, Kovi trade was at the deadline. I resigned Kovi in the offseason for 6 years, 5.6 mil per, so I avoided a Hossa repeat

I am having toruble figureing out the trade scale. Is there a meter or somehow figure out if the other team is interested before I offer the trade. For example, in Madden they have an interest bar, is there something like that here. Every trade I offer is rejected and I don't want to shafted by offering to much.

I would have traded him for ten of Quick's hairs so that we could have a cloning process going.

DNA and science FTW.
Toskala FTL.

that is funny, i didn't even try trading for kovy since his value is kinda high, i figured i should be good to sign him via FA after 1st season ends.

i have rob blake and mike modano, and they combine for over 7 mil of salary, so that should be enough to sign kovy, sounds like he is easy to trade for (from the post i read here)

Usually I go into the offseason with that logic, but it seems like the star players always resign with their teams and don't even both going into free agency.

I would try trading for him now.

Not always, after my first year I got Kane and Lidstrom in free agency

Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

There is no meter or indication, but the trade block screen gives you a in-depth look at other teams and who they are willing to trade, as well as their depth in certain positions and other things.

Andrew Ladd for Ray Emery.

Huet sucks even more in this game than he does IRL

I'm waiting for the roster update, but I intend to trade Cory Schneider and Shane O'Brien for a solid, young defenseman.

In my fantasy draft season, I traded Brian Gionta (85, C-) and Andrew Murray (76, C) for Marc Staal (86, B-) and a 4th round pick in the 2011/2012 season (I'm just simming the games to get a feel for the trade AI while I'm waiting impatiently for roster updates). I was already pretty deep at RW (I also had Havlat (85, C) and Franzen (83, C) plus Mayorov (80, B)) but weak on defense as 3 of my defensemen retired the year before (Gonchar, Salo, Niedermayer), so I had Corvo (82, C-) and a bunch of mid-to-high-70s players on D.
