That is a question with a lot of Controversy! It is a silly question for both sides of the fan bases. Silly that Manny can ever beat Cotto and silli that Cotto can ever beat Manny. But it has to be asked. I see it two ways!
Manny winning because of his amazing speed and accuracy in his punches. He has the ability to drop Cotto early because of the agility.
Cotto winning because of his devastating body punches, this guy can drop a horse with enough damage delivered to the body.
Under nonstop punching I would completely agree. But he went the distance with Mosley and beat him. At least as far as I remember it. Didn't he win that by decision? I make no argument in the outcome of the fight. I wonder how will it end tho.
Cotto can go 12 with his stamina, its his confidence that might not last 12 rounds if he strats getting busted up bad. I think he regained some of it with his win over Clottey ( even tho some think Clottey should have won). I see it as a close fight. Pac can do damgage to bigger guys and Cotto CAN handle fast fighters. He won against Mosley by boxing and he won against Judah, who is a speedy, smaller southpaw. He also DEVASTATED Carlos Quintana with body shots, 1 in particular that you whince just from the sound. He's a quick southpaw also and the guy that gave Paul Williams his first loss so he's no bum. Oscar and Ricky barely layed a glove on Pac so his ability to take a punch from a strong WW is still unknown.
The winner,,,, US!!! We will ge to see a classic war IMO. 50/50 fight between 2 warriors,,,, just the way I like 'em!! If I HAD to make a pick,,,I'll go with Cotto. Pac is just slightly over hyped at this moment due to his 2 fights at WW against guys who couldnt (Oscar) or didnt get a chance (Ricky) to fight back. Still think its 50/50 but my heart says Cotto will find a way.

Rooting for Manny here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto takes it.
Many of his opponents likened fighting the "Will o' the Wisp" to battling a man in the Hall of Mirrors, unable to cope with an opponent they couldn't find, let alone hit. Others compared the experience to catching moonbeams in a jar, or chasing a shadow.
