Hey Guys,

I know there's loads of topics regarding weekly weigh ins, but I wanted to start one for people who have recently started their challanges.

I started my challenge again this morning after successfully not completing my 30 day challenge in June, but this time I'm determined to complete it and lose all the weight that I've gained, so I'm hoping that with all YOUR help I'll do it.

So who wants to join me? We can have our first weigh in on Sunday October 18th

Not to burst anyone's bubble and doing the Active workouts can only lead to good but using it as your weightloss plan alone is not likely to work. It needs to be a part of a total lifestyle plan for weight loss. Getting your calorie intake under control and then using Active as a toning and shaping is a much better plan.

I'm with ya, looser995. And don't listen to the last person. Yes, in order to loose weight you need to make a total lifestyle change but you need to do it one step at a time. Workingout is a great first step.

I wouldn't mind joining in. I lost two pounds so far. I am on day 7 of the 30 day challenge.

Is there any need for the negativity 35047171? I think we are all aware that it's a lifestyle change that's needed, that exercise alone isn't going to do it.

I'm so happy that you all wanna join in , it's really encouraged me.

Right now I'm 141lbs and I'm only 5'4" with a small frame, which means according to my BMI I'm close to being overweight . I'm hoping to lose 21lbs, tone up and generally feel healthier by the end of the year. I'm going to measure my thighs, hips, waist etc later on today so I can keep on track.

ComfortShorts - rest that ankle!

Thanks for joining in everyone. Look forward to hearing your stories

In my opinion this is the very best use of the forums. I was really encouraged on my first challenge by joining a group. The key is for everyone to keep at it and encourage each other and keep coming back to post your efforts! So many people signed up for my last go at this and only three of us were remaining at the end as regular posters on the thread!!

I'm more than half way through my current challenge but I'm going to join you guys for some encouragement. I've lost 15 lbs of my original goal of 20 but have hit a plateau and have not lost any over the last 2 weeks. I could use another 20 lbs off to get to my ideal weight but I'm not sure if I'll get there at my age. Starting with baby steps! I'm working the 30 day challenge at the 'hard' setting and finished workout 12 last night. Workout 13 today after work today!!

One of my goals is just to finish the 30 day challenge. Also, to increase my fruits and vegi intake.

I'm a gestational surrogate and will be going through IVF in early December therefore I don't want to loose a lot of weight I just want to make sure that I don't gain much with the fertility medications I have to take.

I wish everyone luck and look forward to Sundays weigh-in.

Count me in. I just started after purchasing this weekend. I am working out in the am before work, but really purchased the Wii for me and husband to make him more active. Even though he has a physical job he did not realize the muscles he does not use until last night when we did 2 rounds of boxing against each other. What a workout that was

I'm not being negative, just stating what I have personally experienced. I'm 5'2" and weighed 136 lbs in mid April. I started doing Wii Fit and then EA Active everyday. Without making changes to my diet I lost 5 lbs in a few months. I really wanted to get back to a decent weight for me of around 120 lbs. I had to restrict my calories to 1200 a day and continue with Wii Fit and Active to get to 120 lbs. The exercising was helping firm up my fat but in order to lose the 16 lbs I needed gone I had to quit my bad eating habits as well.

I now weigh 120 lbs and feel great. It's been long enough now that I don't crave the junk or large portions I did before and I think I can maintain this weight now by being careful and continuing my workouts. It doesn't sound like a lot to lose 16 lbs but since I am so short it's meant a difference of 2 clothing sizes.

I wish I had done some measurements before I started just to know how many inches came off as well as pounds. For someone starting out I would really recommend keeping a diary of your achievements. I get a kick out of going back to the beginning when I started with Wii Fit and seeing my graph going down and down.

Just did day 2 of my 30 day challenge (day 3 of my new regime) and I know it's psychological, but I'm already feeling better and I'm eating less

How are you all doing?

I'm gonna go make myself something healthy to eat and then go to bed (it's 22:30 here in the UK and I've gotta be up early ).

Night all x

Count me in. My goal is to complete the 30 day challenge. Mini goal - get past day 4 (which I have yet to do). Loser - I think a support board is a great idea. For me it helps knowing I have to report my progress (of the fact that I slept instead of working out) I was telling myself that "I'll start Monday" but after reading the posts, I'm ready to start tomorrow. I'll check in with everyone tomorrow.
