This is the map I decided to make seeing as how the original one for the game is completely off. There were canyons in NFS Carbon so it would only make sense to make use of those canyons to connect Palmont and Rockport since that is how we got from Rockport to Palmont in the first place between games. I tried to take everything into consideration such as distance, (Rockport and Palmont are seperated by at least 10 miles according to the intro of NFSC) height, and location of each road. I also took into consideration the length of what each canyon actually is, behind and past the start and finish lines from my glitching in the past, along with the shape of the road in the final pursuit area (It coninues straight and makes a long 180 degree turn if you ever explored behind the construction). I also added San Juan and the Drift Course by analyzing their locations, from glitches, to what their respective locations should be. I added a highway as well since it would seem to make sense to connect Downtown Rockport to Silverton in Palmont.
I also took into consideration the locations of Tri-City and Bayview if they were added as expansions...
What does everyone think?
Here is the original map...
Here is my map...
Here is my new revised practical map. I included the new roads that connected the two maps and added orange ones that would connect to those and to Rockport. The green road is the final pursuit road and is connected by half of the new road that used to be there.
and here is my idea for a Bayview expansion map. Everything is where is seems to make sense, I put another Bayview bridge west of the city center(Now positioned south), anyone remember the drag race there? I made it so there was minimal roads connecting the city to increase practicality, all but one are bridges.

I like the idea of the canyons in between the two cities. It makes sense how after the final pursuit area in MW it moves to canyons in Carbon. The expansions would also allow more room for gameplay. I'm not too sure how the Bayview expansion would work, since Jackson Heights were north of Bayview and it would interfere with Rockport. San Juan would look a bit out of place.
It does look cool though, I like how the roads tie in with the storyline. It would be nice if they put atleast some more canyons or an extra highway into the world.
I give it a thumbs up.

@Dillano609
Those are some practical editions nice job. I hate EA keep getting rid of the bridge jumps.

I think that the biggest reason that EA did make so many cuts from the map is probably because they didn't want it to take a long time to go from place to place. (That doesn't bother me, but it might annoy some people.)
I like your map, mainly because I'm worried that there will not be any road that is long enough for a good top speed run in the original map (something that I always look for when racing).

Going from place to place in NFSW is simple - you can literally jump to events. I think EA were too lazy to add more content and left all the stuff for future expansions.

I'd like to have a beautiful and big forest in between the cities. Also, redesigned and expanded to a small free roam area tracks form nfs HS/HP would be a really cool expansion.
Summit and Rocky Pass free roam should include a snowy area.

There's a highway in the Most Wanted section that will allow you to get any vehicle up to it's max speed. No worries about that.

This is turning out to look like a map drawing thread, very nice. I think EA should have just expanded on the MW map theme.

I hope the developers have a look at this. They have 60% of the contend ready - they only need to connect the canyon tracks, make connection between canyon tracks, san juan-silverton and rosewood-canyon tracks.Next thing is to add some scenery for the daylight time in the canyons and voila! They got one of the connections ready. Building the highway between palmont and rockport is going to be a job for 5 days. For a team as big as EA Blackbox/Singapore this could take a month to make. Even less.

Except the programming won't allow you to go 250 mph or faster... that sucks.

To be honest, I have nothing against cutting the space between cities but I really do hate the manner it has been done. The fact that they decided to get rid of the bridge is just bad. I really wanted to see EA use some inaccessible roads ( like the bridges etc) but seeing the way they decided to go it is the last thing I expect.

I see that I'm not the only one that thinks NFS WO's map need something more
I posted my remake map somewhere earlier. And I think your one is much, much better!
As I can see you included everything. Canyons, Other tracks, it looks awesome!
Here's mine...
http://i35.tinypic.com/14y4qw7.jpg
Our maps are kinda same, its just that I thought that Tri-City should be in North, and Bayview - in South
Because Tri-City has no roads coming to it from North, and it has Mountain roads in the south.
Bayview has connection in the North and in the South
And there's something more... Did you used some details of my map in yours? Because it looks very similar...

EA just delayed NFS WO with an YEAR.
So there's a big chance to see the map in the way that it SHOULD be on release
