Hey guys, I know everyone likes to upload highlights and screenshots featuring their sweetest NHL moments, whether they be big hits, saves, or goals, and while uploading individual clips in the past was great, now you can actually upload your videos or images and edit them into impressive highlight reels, featuring transitions, visual effects, audio overlays, and more!

You can do all of this through a new feature on EA SPORTS World called EA SPORTS Replay. Simply click here and you can begin to build your own highlight reels, slideshows, and video compilations. Are you ready to be the next EA SPORTS Replay VIP? http://www.easports.com/media/play/feature-video/EASPORTSVip1

A new EASW blog will soon go up to discuss the new feature, and we would like to feature some of the best EA SPORTS NHL Replays provided by the community. So if you guys want, head over to EASW, log in, whip up some Replays (it's really very simple) and post them back in this thread. Best ones will be featured in the blog when it's released. If anyone needs any help with the editor, I and the other mods are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Here are two examples of what you can do:

sk88z's Canucks Compilation
http://www.easports.com/media/play/highlight-reel/11590165

LuGer33's Flyers NHL 09-10 Goals
http://www.easports.com/media/play/highlight-reel/11918478

Again, go here to begin making your videos: EA Sports Replays and post them in this thread when you're finished.

Happy editing!

Suggestion:

Features like this would benefit strongly from us having more than just 5 "slots" to save highlight videos online.

Especially as the devs and moderators have sort of implied it's incumbent upon us beta testers (err, customers) to "prove" the existence of glitches - a lot of my video slots get taken up from videos I'm using as reports...

it'd be nice if we could actually view replays of full games so we could find our best goals online, rather than just being able to see the last 30 seconds of the period.

Very nice man! The leg kick save in net was really impressive, and I liked the variety of goals.

I appreciate the option and thanks to the people responsible for making this happen. I do have a suggestion though. I wish the in-game replay features were a little (ok, a lot) more robust. It's nice that we can make a series of clips with somewhat lame transitions between them, but just for example, take a look at the replay save/editing features in 2K10. Whereas is NHL10, any saved replay just becomes a small flat video file, in 2K10, replays are actually saved as in-game replays. What I mean is, you can go into any saved replay outside of a game and change anything you want instead of having to get it the way you want it with, let's admit it, somewhat half-assed tools in NHL10. And you have to do your editing in-game, which means if you're playing online and something awesome happens, you have to hope it's in the top 5 at the end or else you're flat out of luck. And even if it is in the top 5, it's inevitably 4 or 5 seconds long and doesn't go back far enough to see how the play started. Simple things like a deflection goal usually don't even show the point shot, let alone the pass from the other point man. It'll usually start the replay as the puck is flying toward the player who deflected it.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.

You guys bring up some good points, and since this is the very beginning of the feature, there's always room for upgrades/expansions to what's currently available. For now though, who else has some highlight vids to submit?

And Ward, very cool vid. I like how you mixed in Madden and NHL highlights together. I'll probably end up doing the same, splicing in some FIFA clips myself.
