Hi All!

It has been a while since I have been on the site but just wanted to check in and share that I have just about reached my goal weight and wanted to encourage anyone who doubts this program! YOU CAN DO IT!
Stay PERSISTANT! Stay DEDICATED! Stay MOTIVATED! AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED!

FOUR POUNDS AWAY FROM MY GOAL AFTER USING THIS PROGRAM, CUTTING CALORIES WHICH ENDED UP BEING MORE OF A LIFESTYLE CHANGE THAT I LOVE THAN ANYTHING. IT WORKS. I am proof. I went a wonderful shopping spree to reward myself and it felt great to be able to buy what I wanted not what the store offered in the "plus sizes". I feel more energy than I have ever have and I thankful that this program gave me the kickstart I needed to do something for me.

Good luck to everyone just starting and remember one day at a time is key, if today wasnt a good day be inspired to make tomorrow better!

Initial Weight: 220
Target Weight: 155-160
Current Weight:165

Motivational Quote: "IF YOUR SHIP DOESN'T COME IN, SWIM OUT TO IT!"
Word of the day: PERSISTANCE!

I am going to agree with you. I started out at 185 six months ago and now I am at 169, and honestly ... I haven't been doing as much lately in the workouts. But it just seems like the workouts changed my metabolism. Sure, I am eating a bit less, walking more, etc. My weight has been holding nicely just under 170 and my BMI is something like 24.8 ...

I am shooting for 165.

great job at losing the weight. I am just getting back into the exercise. I hurt my back and I have not been able to do much for about 4 weeks.
I gained 3 lbs and am beating myself up.
But I am going to get back in there. You gave me a kick start again.

I have to agree.
this game rocks!
i have had a weight issue since i was a kid.
i have done weight watchers a few years ago and lost a lot of weight. i also used to go to the ymca every day.
and that helped.
then my doctor put me on blood pressure meds as well as anti-depressants.
after that, "no matter what i did" i couldnt lose weight (weight watchers, exercise, etc).
i started gaining weight during doing all that to boot.
i was starting to get very depressed because my doctor said there was nothing he could do due to the fact the meds would cause weight gain.

i just finished my first 30 day workout and lost 12 lbs in 30 days !!!!
who can argue with those results.
not to mention i have a 8 year old daughter that is on the autism spectrum. she is my shadow while i do EA active.
she does it with me (wiithout the hard intensity of course) and is also starting to lose weight.

Thanks EA Active !!!

Anything that gets you moving and more active is great. Some people can motivate themselves to head out to the gym but I'm not one of them. I love that I can do my workout any time I want and I don't have to have the right clothes or work around a schedule. I've found that by being more active with workouts I want to eat better and have more energy to do other things. If I miss a day of working out it now feels like something is missing.

Congratulations on your fantastic success!

My starting weight (now) is about where you began, so you inspire me.

Can I ask how long this took?

Not sure who you are asking but I started at the end of April with the Wii Fit. I didn't really cut back food very much and saw a few pounds come off. I got Active in mid June and really started calorie counting. I lost the majority of the weight between mid June and September. I've been stuck at this weight for about a month now so I either need to up my exercise, cut my calories or be happy where I am. I'm not giving up on losing the rest but I'm ok with this weight. I think once the new Active comes out with abdominal exercises I may be able to firm up some of the jiggly parts and be ok at this weight.

I started using this game in late May and have lost 14 pounds as of today. I workout with this game 6 days a week (on hard but used medium my first time around) and tell everyone I can about it because it works! I have also made small changes in how I eat: no diet, just instead of 3 pieces of pizza, I only eat 2 (sometimes 1). Last week, was the first time in about two years in which a doctor visit did not start with the "you're overweight" lecture. This past weekend, I, too, spoiled myself with a shopping spree. Life is good. Thank you EA!

I started the Active in May, 2009. weight was 282, now 214. I did it using this program to start and establish an exercise routine that I would stick with. I added portion control of food intake in June. Followed Weight Watchers point plan. Did not join, found a lot of information on the Internet for free. In the last month, I added an additional 30 minutes on either a stationary bike or treadmill to increase workout level to 50 to 60 minutes.

Just purchase the Wii Active More workouts. Did first exercise of the 6 week challenge. My next goal is 200, heading for 185.

The program works and it is fun. If you have a TV that allows picture in picture, you're able to exercise and watch a program. I usually exercise and watch the local news.
