Tim & Crew really pulled out all the stops for this game, they got the Dream Team of voice actors and a nigh-impossible sound track and mixed it together into an awesome game. I'm starting to think Brutal Legend is Tim Schafer's Magnum Opus.

Will they be able to get all these people back together for a second time around? Would BL2 have the same magic as the first one? And.. forgive me for even *thinking* this, but what if Ozzy dies of a drug overdose between now and then? >.>

Good question, I think right now the best we can and should hope is new DLC and no map packs. I mean how Rock Star released GTA episodes for the 360. Same thing here for Brutal Legend. There's Fletus' army, the fact that Ophelia has black tears in her blood, and the actual sea of black tears didn't ever get closed. Plus, Doviculus' head fell in there and there is still plenty of back story to explore in the world of Brutal Legend and Eddie Riggs past, present, and future personal life as Lita seemed interested at one point in shacking up with Eddie.

@ darkboy1200

too late... Tears of the Hextadon map pack comes out Nov. 3.
never mind. I'll still get it.

Anyway, I think Brutal Legend 2 is probably the last thing on Double Fine's mind at the moment (the games only been out for a month).
I think it's more likely that gameplay/story/whatever will be expanded continually through dlc.
Remember that it is from EA. remember burnout paradise? They made something great, and milked it dry, but in a good way.

I think this would probably be the only Schafer Game to get a sequel. There really is a lot of stuff that is left open to explore. And I would love to play a second game with more content and improved ideas. And hopefully better RTS segments.

BUT.... I also kind of doubt that will happen. Oh well... I love this game and It's never leaving my collection.

Well, there is a lot you can do with BL, from extended story to more factions, like a punk faction or country music faction, you never know, you can go very wild with that.

Talking about factions, I would like Double Fine to allow use to play as General Lionwhite faction, he is only missing what? 3 units? its not like they can't came up with something, also, you can make it not a direct Ironheade clone if they tweak a bit how they work, like different stat (Example: Groupies can have shorter range but more power than Razorgirls) or different team attacks.

I can see the emptiness in your vacant eyes.

BL2 would be awesome. i remember when i finished BL i was already waiting for the next one. the only thing i really felt the game lacked was more. don't get me wrong, i love this game and think it's one of the best games i've ever played, but it felt a bit short. i wouldn't mind having more weapons/upgrades and a longer single player game. from a mp standpoint, it just needs to be smoothed out with less lag and better balance.

They'd probably have to make it all white rappers, but that would be hilarious.
