The Community Appreciation Challenge events have been going on for the better part of a month now and The Games Village has proven that they are a force to be reckoned with under the current format. Hats off to them…they have been great competitors that have helped make this competition fun and engaging. A big thanks goes out to everyone who has played and competed in these tournaments so far. We appreciate your willingness to participate in something new. So now it’s time to shake things up a little bit and try something different. That’s where you all come in…

So far we’ve had recruitment, team creation, kings of the hill, and video wars all become a part of the current community tournament format. Now we’re looking for your ideas on what would be a cool new format for these tournaments. We’re ready to take any and all ideas. These are community tournaments after all, so who best to steer the direction of these than you guys.

Feel free to compile your ideas and drop them here in this forum. Next week we’re going to set up a Live Chat between the Tiger Development Team and you all to discuss all the submitted ideas. We’ll be using these ideas to create the next Community Appreciation Challenge!

Awesome job to the dev team...I appreciate you trying to come up with new ways to make things more exciting..it's been a blast.

Personally, I would NOT want to be teamed with anyone other than TGV...TGV is not just a team, it is community. Personally I've been with TGV since August and have had great times playing everyweek in the daily tourneys they run for our league. I got to know and chat with these guys and gals and it wouldn't be right to play against them if things were split up.

If I didn't know or play with these guys regularly, I wouldn't care about splitting things up.

Is it possible to have a round robin style tourney..in otherwords, created room in lobby, bracket sheet, specify what time people need to be there and have an individual tourney p2p, winner moves on...

Mike, if you dye your beard white, you could prob earn a few extra bucks on the side in about a month or so. By then it should be long enough.

Have a 2,or 3 man team bracket tournament. Each league creates their own teams. Then what you can do is randomly post who plays what team. Than you post another daily tournament for all teams to play. You add the team indv daily tourney scores together to determine a final score and the winner of the match.

Example:
Team A.....vs........Team B

Mike -15 ..............Tiger -12
Christian-18...............Phil -10
total = -33..............total= -22

LOL ,yeah thats what they are saying Magru , you have won 4 in a row, good for you guys but to comment thats why they are doing different things is totally out in right field, i would like to see brackets just like in the ncaa tourney rank these teams by how well they do in one tourney then give them seeds 1 to say 25 then make it double elimination knock out then have one champion at the end it would take quite a team effort to go through all the other teams.

laaaaaaaaaame lol my suggestion then is play better?!?!?! i dont mind the tournament format and wouldnt mind seeing custom courses like lucky 7 or something or just completely random courses for the tournaments. but again the key to this will be turning off the option to gamernet these courses that has to be done.

frankly id like to see Mike's beard get just a weeeeeeeee bit longer like say to the ground lol

Seperate the PS3 and Xbox 360 competition. I heard the game is easier on PS3 which made it unfair. Seperate the two consoles, and have their own competitions. Someone once mentioned an event where its USA vs Canada vs UK vs World. I think that would be fun.

First I'd like to say hats off to Mike, Christian and all the dev team for their hard work putting all this together. The taunting videos have been great and only help to create community between consumer and developer.

My team, The Country Club, is about friendships so we have a wide variety of talent, likely never enough to win outright. That said, we don't care...it's fun to participate and play for your club, win or lose. There is definitely something unique when you are playing not just for yourself but for a team also.

Not sure what the limitations are with Facebook, but beside the website/formed teams you could also offer other formats:

USA vs. European players - Ryder Cup
PS3 users vs. 360 users
Old veterans (over 30) vs. Young Guns (under 30)
ALL consumers vs. The Dev Team

Not sure where this is headed for the future, but it would be nice to have it run through EASportsWorld in future versions as you could have alot more control over how it's all set up.

Another idea would be after your team wins, then they sit out the next week. The weekend tournament ends up being a battle between the top 2 teams of the weekday event. Then at the end of 10 weeks or whatever you have a tournament with all the weekend winners. This would give more teams the opportunity to play on the weekend. TGV may not like it, but they need to remember the health of these fan appreciation events depends on participation by many clubs. If it ends up being just 1 or 2 teams week in and week out then in the end that is all that will likely be playing week in and week out.

I would also very much like to see one of the week's be an Extreme format.

The game plays exactly the same. If stock controllers are used, the XBOX version is easier. If 3rd party controllers are used, there is no difference.

that cant be true where as our team as a whole is relatively strong across the board your members on the "harder 360 system" had better individual rounds both weeks we played you guys...therefore how is it easier on our end???

and yes i am against sitting out weeks...its like getting punished for winning.
