New 1-Star Dynasty League for PS3

I'm starting a PS3 dynasty league where members take a TeamBuilder team with the Cupcake roster and build it up into a championship contender over several seasons. I am looking for 6 - 10 dedicated players, people that can and will stay committed for a minimum of 3 seasons.

No edits of the Cupcake roster will be allowed. That means no adjustment to skills, physical attributes or year in school. I will be reviewing the rosters and if you have edited something you're parting gift will be a nice call out on the boards. You can generate and edit names. Set school type to FBS.

The league will advance twice a week, on Monday mornings at 6:00 AM EST and again on Friday mornings at 6:00 AM EST. Basically this means that people will have Mon-Thu to play their first game and Fri-Sun to play their second game.

Any games that have not been played by those times will be simulated and the results will stand regardless of the situation, e.g. one person was ready to play but the other couldn't because they were on vacation. So, if someone knows they won't be able to play their game, they can either have someone play it for them or understand that the game will be sim'd when the week is rolled.

Any game against the CPU that is restarted will have the results thrown out and the game sim'd when the week rolls forward. No exceptions.

Since this is a dynasty league where there's at least as much emphasis on recruiting and building up our teams as there is on kicking each others' hiney, I will not place more than two human players in the same conference. In my experience, having everyone in the same conference too often results in everyone having a mediocre record (sort of like the Big 12), no one getting a shot at the national title, and the pool of recruits being spread too thin.

Having said that, I will use Custom Schedules to if at all possible make sure that everyone plays two PvP games during the regular season. I will also use Custom Schedules to make sure that everyone has reasonably the same schedule rating at the start of each season.

And, finally, a note on good sportsmanship: Jackasses will be shown the exit. That includes trying to run up the score once you know you've won the game, and quitting a game and being a sore loser when you know you've lost it.

At the same time, I am not going to stop people from playing their style of game. If you want to live on the raggedy edge and go for it on 4th and 12 from your own 5 in the first quarter, then go for it. It's up to the defense to stop you. I have yet to see a “cheese” play that couldn't be countered with good game planning and play calling.
