I think I recall someone saying that if they didn't receive details by the basic time they were told there would be they'd sell the game. Well, the time has basically come and you got your details. Boy, did we get details.
Now while I'm sure many people will complain because certain things that they feel are technical issues weren't solved. I feel that we, as a community, should remember something very important. Not only have we been told what's in a patch, but we were told as soon as the full patch was finished being built and is entering testing. Which is something that wasn't seen last year with Undercover. We simply were told when a patch was available, and had no clue what it really did.
So let's remember people, you may not be completely happy but EA is doing a better job then they have in the past.

Yay, my fears were dumbfounded! There's hope after all! Keywords: ATI, performance and stability, Murcielago, tuning, car handling! Hoping I can plug my wheel back soon! I'll restart my career, hopefully it'll let me experience Shift the way it was meant to be!
Cheers!

One of the M-series BMW's has a bug when works upgraded, 1st gear and second gear are the same. just mentioning that in case it isn't fixed.
Sorry I can't say which one, can't remember the name.
You may need to restart the race to get that bug to show up and the car to actually behave like a works car, but that shouldn't be a problem due to the other fixes (I hope).
A nice list of fixes there. Can't wait to get the patch.
I was really hoping you guys would improve the AI though. Their aggressiveness needs to scale down as they drive more powerful cars. You don't drive a Carrera GT as aggressively as a Ford Escort because crashing is easier and more devastating, that needs to be represented in the AI. The Spa invitational even with the Carrera GT is a perfect example of this problem.

One bug not previously mentioned is some type of popping sound that occurs ramdonly during replays. Mainly an issue when trying to make videos of the replays. If it's still happens after the patch, I'll post more feedback.

Woohoo
Good going EA. Seems shift is going to be playable after all
Implementing the patch will surely make me pick this up again.

which btw only needed 1 minor patch... must have had a good beta testing team back-then
Nah, just because bugs are reported doesn't mean they can fix them in time. Blame the deadline from EA and having EA force some nasty design decisions on them.

"Improved car handling"
please improve, please somehow put a "real sim" mode, even if you need a code to activate it or whatever. Please bring the real potential of this great game to light

You are wrong, M3 Challenge is by Blimey! Games (Ex SMS)
Yes ur right about M3 Challenge it was indeed Blimey! but those were developers from SimBin which only changed ownership and name (to SMS) due to their bankruptcy...They cleanly made a fresh start, according to their web page...so officially, Shift is their first game (a hell of a first game if u ask me)
Sad thing really is that always good developers of the great games eventually goes bust. Think of Warthog's Richard Burns Rally, the maker of the best driving game ever, went to oblivion....
sorry for offtopicing btw....won't happen again

cem_ea_id.BobbyVey wrote:[SMS is founded by some guys from SimBin Studios who had been working on GTR series and there's the connection.
Wrong..
it was nearly the whole Simbin that went, and formed Blimey! studio, but already started on GTR2 they finished it of for Simbin, Blimey did BMW challenge as a special order from BMW...while working on their Ferrari project,
after the demise of their publisher Sms was born..
if you looked @ their website a week ago, there was the mention of what they did in the past,
but an legal threat from Simbin forced them to remove their history
so you know squat

I just wish they had a testing process before the game was released...
Anyways, looks like most of the technical issues are dealt with, so now I hope they start cracking on the online features. It needs to become better. MUCH better! We need a game list! Don't just keep throwing us into random games.
