OK so i have had this game for a while now. and this morning when i went to pay it it worked fine but now when i go and play it its loads everything for me but doesnt load the actual game it still says please wait with a golfer swinging. I did turn it off once when it was doin this. did that ruin the game. all my other games work. just not tiger. can anyone help me. is the game bad like should i buy a new one or what

I've had this happen - with me it was because I had deleted my original User profile on PS3 - the EA server was looking for details of the registered user before allowing me to sign in to EA servers. Have you done anything to your log in profile?

yea i deleted the old one and created a new one

I've had issues previously where finger prints on the disk prevented it from reading properly. I've taken it out and gave it a careful cleaning and it's worked fine after that.

I'd advise taking it out and give it a good inspection. Hopefully it is something simple like that.

can you explain what you mean by a good inspection

I flipped mine over and looked at it in the light. I could see where one of the kids had handled the disk and left a finger print in a couple of places. It would load the game and I could start a round but it would hang with the swinging symbol running continuously when I got to hole 3 or 4 I think it was. Once I cleaned it everything was fine. I just used a soft cloth and breathed a little on the disk like you were cleaning a pair of glasses...then I wiped softly from the center out all the way around the disk to remove the prints. Popped it back in and everything was cool. Don't use a paper towel or anything too course because you don't want to scratch it....be careful.

Now.....I did have an issue where my son actually cracked my disk loading it back into the case. It hung on me and I thought it was another print but when I flipped it over it had an 1" crack from the center out.....that disk was toast....wasn't a pretty scene at home that night... I hope it's nothing critical like this for you.

I understand what's happened now Sports - the program is looking for the old profile to verify DLC. You need to create the original profile. You can keep the new profile and log in as that profile when PS3 starts up but you definitely need to redo the original profile if you want to keep the DLC.

I'd try what K3 suggests and exhaust all your options before you go out and purchase a new game.

ok well i went out last night and bought a new game and it still doesnt work. new version of tiger woods and it still is stuck at the loading please wait screen after it loads all my data. Now when you say I should create my old profile is that the name for tiger woods cuz i cant cause it wont load so i cant. or the one i log in for playstation network. whatg if i have my data saved on a few names for play station network. I forgot my info for the data for the playstation name i had it on what should i do now

It's stuck because EA servers are looking for your original profile to verify whether or not to validate the DLC that you have installed. It cannot find your original profile therefore will not let you play the game with DLC - fullstop. The only way to fix it is to retype the profile that you used to buy the DLC back into your PS3. Other than that you need to delete all the DLC which I'm figuring you don't want to do.

K3 is saying that your downloaded courses are tied to your original profile because that is who is registered as purchasing them. When the game tries to load and sees a downloaded course but not the correct user then it is hanging. The option is to create the same username to fix this or delete all the downloaded content so you can start fresh.

ok how can i delete the downloaded course. I cant even get to the main menu. it wont load

how do i even know if i have a downloaded course
