I was checking out the new maps on market place today.... But 400pts for 2 maps is pushing it quite a bit. Especially when you announce that PS3 gets em free all but 2 days later or something.

I mean WTF microsoft as if you dont price gouge enough yet you somehow feel entitled to charge for free content... Its the equivalent of me opening a "free lemonade stand (for ps3 owners only)" then when Xbox 360 owners show up I charge them 5.95 for 500 MS points .

Before I go on I would like to mention what microsoft did to UFC 2009 Undisputed. When undisputed came out people who purchased the "collectors" edition got 2 extra fighters(effrain and Bader) THQ announced that 2 months after initial release those fighters would be available on Market Place to download for free.

Then guess what happens wayy after 2 Months I see microsoft advertising the Effrain and Bader downloads on the market place, But guess what??? They cost 400 PTS!! I couldnt believe it microsoft charging for content that the PS3 users downloaded for free. The fighters are really mediocre(80 overall which is sux in UFC) and I felt bad for anyone that downloaded em. In fact the day after MS released the characters for download the UFC forum was flooded with complaints about 400 MS points for the fighters.

Microsoft is really * me off with this Its not EA because PS3 still got these free so I would just like to throw up a big FAHHK UUU! to Microsoft.

Finnally, Before consider buying these maps I got a few Q's.

So, can you play them online?
Are the interesting like pleasure gardens, dooms mire, or are they kinda bleh...?
Is it worth it? I mean really worth my $6 to buy this?

considering I spend six dollars on one meal at any fast food place (or more if I go to a place like chipotle) I would definately say yes they are.

They are really interesting maps with some cool concepts and you can play them online as far as I know. so they are well worth six dollars.

The two maps? Incredibly great. The new axe? Spiffy as hell.

Only problem is that its hard to get an online game on them because even if you run across someone with a pack its only a 1/5 chance that it will be on one of the new maps.

The solution? Get it and encourage all other players to do the same.

I've played about 5 games against ironheade today and only ran across one eddie with the new axe.

Cool maps, however, only gripe is that the download is 108kb. so what? were these maps where already on the disc?

Not that EA or other publishers haven't done this before but...

I finally got to play the new maps tonight. I'll post a strategic outlook on the new maps, as well as all the old ones, in a new thread tomorrow.

Basically its just a golden axe, with a little symbol of armagoden.

But its pretty cool since not many people have it

I will do that for you lol:

The two new maps, are definitly worth it.

the circle of tears map is not all that great, since its litterally shaped like a giant donut, with 1 fan gyser on each side in between, and each person starts out with two merch booths.

The djons ford though, thats an AWESOME map. One of the hardest to play on, but the best. Two main paths, one of them is like a curve off to a little ditch, that leads to the other side. A massive strait path, with one fan gyser on each side of it.
Then theres the main path that is partially hidden by side trees or something of the sort, and leads to a little round thing in the middle, filled with 3 fan gysers. Definitly the point of conflict, whoever controls the middle basically assures victory.

Then theres the new golden axe that you get to use in multiplayer that looks pretty sick while your cutting up your enemy

its a lil bit of a rip-off for 400 points, but considering buying the map pack or buying a 400 point piece of avatar clothes (which i still think is the BIGGEST ripoff ever) its definitly worth it.

lmao the avatar clothes are so funny. 400 points for a stormtrooper suite (helmet comes seperate) ahaha thats like 6+$ to play a dress up game

I like the new maps, but it's a shame they don't crop up in Matchmaking more often. I only got to play them against the AI so far

Still, I really like both new maps.

The maps are awesome, the axe is awesome, but would it've killed them to make more than two? I mean, for 400MS points, come on...

Oh wait... thats just to pay the cheapskates at Microsoft
