Mine's about 170, if you don't know what yours is, then go to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

The minimum for shift is 512kbps, but it will still let you play even if you have less.

the min requirement is 512kb/sec . but with that connection you would see a little bit mroe lag than those with faster connections.... basically the faster your connection, the less lag you will have so get the fastest connection that you can afford. if you can.

We're working on a system where we have servers in Europe and the US so if you're in Bulgaria for example you'll just need to connect to the server in Swizterland. In North America we'll likely have servers on each coast.

Hope this helps.

Great!

I'm glad you're putting servers over Europe!

Maybe it will be interesting to you.
2 days ago I ran a website poll "What is the speed of your Internet connection?"

So what get results:

The majority of the votes was the result - up to 2 Mbit / s - 36 votes.

100 Mbit / s - 27

http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ shown me 496 kbps download and 136 kbps upload from Warsaw, Poland to New York, and 494 kbps and 134 kbps to Los Angeles, so on european servers it should be lil bit better(maybe it'll nail 512). Possibly the servers would be in Poland, because it's in center of the Europe(and i hope so, beckause i have 4 kilometers in straight line to EA Poland )

Remember that your ping test is more important - no point having an awesome download speed if it drops out every 5 seconds.

Sorry for no pingtest.net results, my browser freeze every time i get on that site

EDIT:
I've managed to get there from konqueror(I have 2010 Mandriva), but it doesn't have java, so i couldn't measure it. But here is pingtest from it
