I have had a player get injured with an unplayable injury, does his salary go against my cap? I would like to call up an AHL player to replace him but my cap space won't allow it. I also cannot move any other player down because it says I would go below the minimum amount of skaters. Can I swap an AHL and NHL player to get around this or am I stuck?

Trade for Draft picks, then call someone up with a 2 way contract, CPU will add another guy to AHL team

that's a stupid suggestion, why should he have to trade b/c his team has injuries, do they do that in the nhl, NO, so why should he... oh, i have a great idea, how about if ea is going to give us a mode to be a gm, they let us do things like put a player on INJURED RESERVE so that player does not count against the cap or the roster limit, that would be smart, wouldn't it, we've only been asking for it for years!

If it's not in the game, don't put it in the game

When your player has an injury that they are unable to play with the game does put them on injured reserve and their salary doesn't count against your cap till they are able to play again. If your having that much trouble make sure the injury is unplayable still. Atleast I've always had their salary come off... though I usually leave myself a million in cap space so maybe I just never noticed.

That's why they also don't count against your roster limit right? Maybe the player you're trying to call up has a higher salary then the injured player.
