but there seems to be yet another type of gluefooter, not just the gluefoot/ punchspam combo. But a gluefoot position glitcher. they position themselves in such a way that certain punches you throw will not land at all and makes it easier for them to open the counter window.
Part of this frustration is when I had created a lightheavyweight for owc (because i got beat by one who used speed so much that i couldnt TOUCH hm wth...) (anyway..)
I fought a guy who used philly shell and was super tall and skinny and just positioned himself toe to toe and with short arms and him leaning back IN MY FACE I couldnt land ANY headshots... normall you have to rotate / angle as a workaround for missing toe to toe with a position glitcher but i swear arms were so short it didnt matter also I tried body punching and it looked like it wasnt breaking his shell and he wasnt blocking body....!!!
Anyway sorry for the rant. The way I described this all probably didnt make any sense and so be it. The patch is going to be the savior
gluefooting is when you press towards the other person constantly so they can't move away so well right? I use it against people who run around after throwing one jab..
I think I've come across what your talking about where they mess up your punches... just got to block and step back alot... opens counters and makes them think twice about doing it the 100th time..
WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY IS THAT HE USED PHILLY SHELL AND BLOCKED AND LEANED BACK AND MY FIGHTERS ARMS WERE SO SHORT THAT I COULDNT REACH HIS FACE WITH A HOOK OR STRAIGHT. AND THE WAY HE WAS POSITIONED TOW TO TOE WITH ME WOULDNT LET ME JAB HIM FLUSH IT WAS THE WEIRDEST THING EVER.
IT WASNT REALLY "GLUEFOOT" PER SE BECAUSE HE COULD JUST STAND THERE BLOCKING AND I COULD BACK AWAY AND WALK UP TO HIM AND NOT BE ABLE TO HIT (BARELY UNLESS I USED BODY PUNCHES). BUT I HAVE SEEN OTHER GLUEFOOTERS USE THIS KIND OF TACTIC THEY GLUE YOU THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO HIT THEY LEAN WAY BACK AND THEN COUNTER YOU BECAUSE YOUR PUNCH MISSES THEM. LIKE I SAID THE WAY TO WORK AROUND IT IS TO SIDESTEP / ROTATE THEN HOOK BUT IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE I USED A LIGHTHEAVY WITH VERY SHORT ARMS WHICH I AM NOT INCLINED TO DO AGAIN =(
