Get a USB memory stick and transfer files... He couldn't use two accounts on one screen name so he obviously has more than one e-mail address associated with his system... Ask him for his e-mail address associated with the account and load it into yours, then edit it after you are in the game. If you can't the only thing is you are using that e-mail address for your player only, it isn't like you are using it for e-mail purposes, plus it probably isn't one he commonly uses anyway, so yes you can!!!I had to after a YLOD issues forced me to buy a new PS3, after the first game that you have to re-enter everything, your player stats reappear as they were...
Plus if this guy or your player was a legend, you can copy that player over and just start a new player if that is easier for you. You don't get your stats back but you start off at the highest rated player...

THIS IS FROM EASHLFORUM ON OPERATION SPORTS. IT WAS POSTED BY A GUY NAMED ICY. THIS SHOULD HELP YOU TRANSFERYOUR INFO WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS
DISCLAIMER FROM EASHL Forum: The following information is intended for personal use only. Since PS3 allows multiple accounts and you guys have multiple teams and playing 150 games with each account is ridiculous, this information will be useful to you. We do NOT condone sharing these files with anyone else. We will NOT allow it on this site. Do NOT ask for the files. Earn the Legend card yourself and move it freely amongst your accounts.
-----
After receiving like 10 PMs tonight, i have decided that i better write this all for everybody so we are in an even field (i enjoy beating people on the ice on equal conditions). I also don't see this as cheating as you are transferring stuff you have already unlocked or purchased once (yeah somebody will cheat and use it to get the legend card from a friend like past year, up to you and it's not that i was probably the only player that researched how to do it anyway).
If a mod decides this is not OK, feel free to delete it, on the other hand, you might want to publish it as article if it has enough interest and i'm sure it will
I can confirm it fully works and besides the purchased content, that is available already for all accounts in the same PS3, you can transfer your manually unlocked equipment/boosts and online card, even when it was said you can't. The only difference between both accounts will be the amount of games played and stats for your online player card, that are thankfully stored in the EA servers, not locally. The new account will start with no stats or games played but with the cards unlocked and the experience points available or already assigned to your player.
Unlike past year where you just copy over your settings and card from one account to another, this year you need a flash card or external HD as it must be done in a PC. If you just copy the files in your PS3 from the main account to the secondary, it will say that you can't load those files from another account.
The short explanation is that the info is stored into two files named SYS-DATA (one for settings and another for card) and those are the only ones that must be transferred. You can only see those files if you open the settings and card saves in your PC and that is why you need an external device.
Here is the step by step explanation. I have written it like if you had zero knowledge about transferring files from PS3 to PC, so it might look too complex but if you have some experience, you will do it in 5 minutes or less.
Step 1 in PS3: Plug in your external HD or flash card. Login into your main account, use the menu to go to "Saved Data Utility". There you will see some files with the NHL10 icon. Search for one named "SETTINGS", select it, push triangle, select copy to your flash drive or external HD (probably named "USB device"), do the same for a file named "HOCKEYCARD1".
Step 2 in PC: Plug your external HD or flash card. Using your windows explorer or whatever you use to navigate folders, get into the external device, there you will a folder named: PS3, inside that there is one named SAVEGAME and inside that you can see two folders named BLUESXXXXXX (with XXX being numbers). Copy both BLUES folders to your PC (each one has 4 files inside). Once stored in your PC, delete both BLUES folders from your flash card.
Step 3 in PS3: Repeat step 1 but this time in your secondary account, again copy the SETTINGS and HOCKEYCARD1 files to your flash drive.
Step 4 in PC: Again navigate into your flash card, there you will see both BLUES folders again, but this time those are the settings and playercard from your secondary account. Copy ONLY the SYS-DATA file from each BLUES folder in your PC (the ones you stored from your main account) to the matching BLUES folders in your flash card, overwriting the ones there.
Step 5 in PS3: Plug in the flash card in the PS3, login in into your secondary account, go to "Saved Data Utility", go to your flash card (probably named "USB device"), select the SETTINGS file, push triangle and select "copy". It will tell you that you will overwrite files, select yes. Do the same to copy the HOCKEYCARD1 file.
With that , you are done and your secondary account is exactly like your main, you have the boosts and equipment, both unlocked and purchased, your unlocked online cards and the experience points from those. The only difference is that in the online cards, even being unlocked. It says that you have played zero games online and have no stats, but it doesn't matter as the cards you unlocked in your main account are unlocked already and the XP are available.
As you unlock more stuff or cards in your main account, you can repeat that process to keep both accounts exactly the same. Of course you can do this for more accounts, not only two.
Hope i explained it easily enough, have on mind English is not my main language. Feel free to post here any question.

I'd be careful if attempting to do this. I've received a couple of PM's from users who have tried this (though didn't say at first) only to find some of their files corrupted or lost. Please heed the warning as we do not condone this type of file sharing and don't recommend it.
