This has got to be one of the worst implementation of what is supposed to be a game feature that I've probably ever seen. Honestly whose idea was it to do it this way because they need to get fired

Instead of wasting time developing a stand-alone junk-ware avatar creator, would it have been too much to ask to implement this into the game itself. After all you've decided to charge us for this feature even though its not part of the game package. Also, isn't EA Sports' motto "It's in the Game?" Well I guess thats no longer the case now is it? I suppose you could argue that the linking of the 2 systems makes it part of the game, but if its a feature I've got to pay for, it better be on the disc and that goes double if your linking of systems doesn't even work

I was very much excited to try out Game Face but just the fact that I'd have to download something on to my computer, which I don't want/need, completely turned me off to the idea

Also the fact that the web Game Face and the in-game Game Face won't match-up EXACTLY has just got to be the icing on the cake. At least if it were in the game I'd know exactly what it would look like while I'm fiddling with it

I realize I'm only looking at the negatives of this entire system, but thousands of negative comments (even on the GameFace page itself!) proves I'm not wrong. FIFA 10 shouldn't be more $40 and I really want to be reimbursed my $20 since the game is basically missing a feature that was supposed to be a selling point

EDIT: I found a post from one of the community managers here that I thought was interesting:

"Please be advised that your Game Face character may not look exactly as it did on the web due to different technologies used on the console"

Again WHY WAS THIS NOT CONSIDERED!?

I agree, I cannot understand why a company would create more work for themselves. The thought of having to support a number of computer configurations and code for different languages would put me off that idea to begin with. If like you said the face editor was able to be done from console, then they would effectivly only need to write the software for 2 maybe 3 consoles.
Now no where on my fifa 10 case did it say game face was relient on you having a windows based PC and particular specs so for that reason it got me a bit ticked off as I hate hidden catches, I am still to get my game face to work ( i get the server error) I am not sure how long EA will take to get any of the issues reolved but they really should stop advertising the feature.

i agree as well.im new to the fifa franchise and when i heard they were adding game face to this yrs version i had to get it.but its nothing like the fight night round 4 version,which i thought would be the same as this one.y have to download something on ur computer to do it?they didnt do that for fight night.u pretty much only had to upload ur picture.even tho my game face in fight night didnt look EXACTLY like me.it was as close as i could get without having to sit around with pictures tryin to make everything even and proportionate wit my actual face.but even tho i kno they wanted the faces to be more like the real thing in fifa than fight night,y not just keep it the same way as fight night and just tweak it rather than make an entirely new one which requires alot of unnecessary work and downloads onto ur computer.game face was on of the main reasons i bought this game and the fact that i cant use it is really makin me consider not keepin it
