PLEASE POST YOUR OPINION....
I DONT CARE WHAT IT IS...
PLEASE COMMENT....
we need this to be done right to make EVERYONE HAPPY...

as we all know WE NEED TWO time lines in the replay editor....
one for camera markers and one for speed/slomo markers...
if you support this idea comment...

and more importantly....
what are your thoughts on HOW a ramped slomo feature could be added...

my ramped slomo idea...

a simple 2 type marker set...
1 for the start and end..
1 in the middle to determine the amount of slomo length....

the first/last markers indicates where you want to start/end your ramped slomo....
this and the end marker should be marked in a color specifically..
lets say blue...

the middle markers indicates what speed you want to slow it down to...
and more than marker is used if you want to prolong that determined slomo speed...

example...
a simple tre flip front tail slide....
i want to start my ramp at the tail tap during the treflip...
and i want to slow it down to 30% speed during the middle of the flip..
then ending the ramp by the time i land in tail flip....
making the tail slide 100% speed....

how...

i put my first starting blue marker right when the tail taps the ground while starting the treflip....
then i place my second(ending) blue marker right when the tail lands in tail slide...

this indicates where i want it to start and end....

now this is tricky because different tricks ask for different types of speeds while ramping...
thats why i say multiple middle markers for speed...

in the middle of the tre flip i set a marker...
the marker is set at 30%....

now this makes the first blue 100% marker start to slow down till it reaches the 30% marker in the middle...
depending on how close i set the speed marker to the beginning/ending markers it will determine how fast the ramp slomo reacts...

so on a time line 1 - 10....

if 1,2,3 are 100%...
4 starts the ramp...
8 is the 30% marker....
10 is the tail tap 100% tailslide...
obviously from 4 to 8 is a longer time period than 8 to 10...
so the program should understand how to react to the time...

and i say multiply middle markers cause someone might wanna slo down while grinding a rail and then setting another marker to start from 30% back to 100%....
like....4-100% 6-50% through 8-50% then 9 is back to 100%..
that helps prolong the middle slomo....

confusing..
sure...
but i want ramped slomo ingame....

i really hope that made somewhat sense to someone besides me...
steel it BB....
please...

thoughts?...

That made sense! And I liked it! I can't ramp slow-mo my own stuff cuz I only have MM....so this kinda of feature in game would be really nice! It would be VERY helpful for me! I would definately use it a lot.

Basically, you have my vote for putting this in the game.

The two timeline idea is great. I'd add one more for Skate 1 style effects. (Black and white, sepia, 80s, etc.)

Great Idea Demz just way more accessable than all then current ramp processes.

One other idea I know its a weird one but what about a toggle Green Screen as well like instantly at any key frame would allow you to change to green screen mode with just your skater and board in the shot.....I know its limited in use but I would love it for keying out everything would be awesome for title and vid intros to be able to do this.. Definitely more for the AE masters but way cool....

back on topic though YESH i wanna be able to RAMP in game

How about 3 timelines?
sometimes the audio is alittle low when the camera is further away, meaning the clip has to be filmed twice

i dont think you need two timelines if the one would just give you the ability to zoom in and out to see each frame.

If that was the case and you could zoom in and out, then all you would need to do is give a speed option for each key frame. But instead of it being like the one now if you change the speed on one it just stays that way for that keyframe and doesnt change the entire clips speed but just each independent key frames speed.

so heres how it would work.....

First - film it normally as you would now.....except you would be able to film better because you would be able to zoom in and get everything just right...

Second - go through your time line and look where you want to do the ramp and place a key frame where you want like the slowest part, and make that say 30 % or what ever. That right there would be a decent looking ramp just because all the frames start at 100......so when you go in and tell a frame you want a 30% in between two 100%s then its gunna go from 100% gradually to 30% gradually back to 100%.

Now this would only work if they got the fade type in between the key frame speeds right.......

What i mean is you cant just program it to say....go to 30% then to 100 in a "linear" fade type it needs to be in a
"S-curve" type fade

The s curve is gradual and would sound like a ramp.....

i just want the replay editr to be easier when it comes to slow mo stuff, like skate 1 replay editor simple but with the tripod and other options from skate 2's replay editor etc.

YES. I already said it before but I'll say it again.. the way the markers are incorporated with nodes is extremely awkward and annoying, and the fact that after screwing up you have to delete a marker and all prior information erases only adds to the frustration. Do I really have to redo my clip 6 times just because I want one small part slowed down?

I would like to the whole editor being completely redone. This barely touches the magnitude of its issues.
