What is the average amount of time for the daily workouts? I'm just asking because I'm trying to make the decision if I should buy the program or just get started at Peaks (fitness center in my town). Please let me know what you think about the program too.

Thanks
Chad

Chad,

The timing on the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer depends on what intensity you are doing it on. I have done 3 30 day challenges on all 3 intensity levels. It can take anywhere from 20 something to 30 something minutes. You can always do more if you want by adding a custom workout.

I'm not sure how long the 6 week challenge workouts for More Workouts are b/c I am starting that tomorrow.

I read an article that said that the average gym member only goes 50 times per year. I have a friend who has a gym membership and she only goes 1x per month. I have a baby myself and this past summer I was trying to decide on whether or not to join a gym or buy a Wii and EA Sports Active and I chose the Wii. I think it's one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. Overtime it's cheaper to buy the Wii and fitness games instead of paying every month for a gym membership.

I now exercise on a regular basis and I don't have to leave the house. It's like having a personal trainer right in my living room. I can work exercise into my schedule and it's great.

I love both EA Sports Active Personal Trainer and the new game that just came out Tuesday, More Workouts.

If you are concerned about it being a hard enough workout, don't be!

I agree entirely with Laura. My decision was also between the gym & buying a Wii & Wiifit/ EA Sports. I chose the Wii because the thought of going out to a gym again once I got home from work didn't appeal.

The work outs are more than challenging enough & as you can see EA have brought out a new game "more workouts" just in time to stop you getting bored.

I'm 5 foot 5 inches tall & weighed 184 lbs when I bought the Wii I'm now 156 lbs - neatly 30 lbs off! So I think that shows it works. Plus I've lost 4 inches each from my bust waist & hips going from

43-33-43

to

39-29-39

go for it you won't regret it.

I also believe it is going to depend upon what level you choose as well. Easy will be lighter workout less intense then medium and hard. It will also depend on your fitness level to your average time. When I did old and now starting new it seem to be 35 minutes and under.

I have had a gym memebership for over 10 years and the last few years averaged 2 days per week even though my goal was 4. Now that I have Wii Fit and EA active I have cancalled my gym memerbship and workout 5 to 6 days per week, since january.

The workouts are 20 to 30 minutes on average but I like to workout for 50 minutes so I just do a custom workout after one of the repset workouts.
Workinging out at home gives you a lot more flexibility. if you only have 30 minutes you can still do some workout. Also even though my gym was only 5 miles away i noticed my gas bill go down.
