I'm doing the putting drill on Doral, after winning a PGA Tournament Event, and I make so many the game eventually just rotates between 4 putts. One is a "gimmee" (I don't have to aim, just putt), and it's a long one. (this pic is the 43' gimmee).

Long story short, I have the putt timer up to over an hour and I've made over 200 putts. I think the upgrade is maxxed out at 2.0.

Should I continue and see how high I can get it? The downside is that I will eventually have to let the timer wind down to get the upgrade (or just quit out), so that will take a long time and I'll keep having to turn my controller back on and resuming the drill (right now the drill is paused).

Anybody ever seen this before?? Developers: how far will/can this go? Indefinitely? Is there a counter maximum on the clock???

Walt

I made 100 putts once and gave up. I was not going to get any more of a benefit. Thank god for the max suits. I hated those Hank drills after a while. It was fun at first, but to complete it after every round was a pain. I really did not start enjoying this game until all the b.s. challenges were done and I was able to just play on whatever course I wanted too with whatever equipment. EA for 2011 (even though it is in development already, if not done), just give me everything from the start. I paid for it, let me play it. Most of us are adults here and don't have hours and hours to play every day just to earn a course or a club. Some do, a distinct minority, but most don't.

I finally let it wind down. It was nearly an hour and a half... about 5400 secs or so. Took the +2.0 upgrade. I think I had about 250 putts made or more... I don't remember... lol

I was tempted to keep putting to see if it would roll over 10,000, but then I prob would have forgone the upgrade and just quit the drill.

What's really gonna suck is when you lose all of it after your next round.
I only ever go as long as it takes to get me back to a 12 and then just let the timer run out.

This.

I average a 54 and 0.98 putts but, that 2.0 will disappear after one round at a tough putting course or one round when you're having an off day.

I played Hank's challenges after my first two rounds (average attributes at like 3.6 or something) and haven't done it since. It's such a waste of time. You could be regaining those lost stats during your next round of golf.

The drills give you only temporary attribute points until the finish of you're next round. Then they get taken away.
But if you play well enough in that round you may gain some of the lost points back.

So you may be at 11.8,get a +.2 in the drills to go to 12,play another round well and go from 12 back to 11.8 and then to 11.9 if you gained points.
The bad part is it's way easier to lose attribute points than to get them back.

What I do is play the drills. At least I'll have the points back for the next round. Then I just hope to play well in that round.
