Need for Speed Racing Games

HAS ANYONE EVEN GOT THIS GAME TO WORK, IT SEEMS I D/LED OFF OF EA.COM OR EVEN A PIRATED VERSON STILL HAD SAME EFFECT INSTALLED CORRECTLY BUT WONT PLAY. LOADS THE BLACK SCREEN THEN BRINGS ME BACK TO THE WINDOWS SCREEN

I got the version off EA download manager to work flawlessly and Im on Windows 7 (which they said might not work).

What OS you running, and whats your system specs? Would try updating the game to 1.4 and if that still doesnt help try running it in compatibility mode if its Vista or above. Im pretty sure the issue you're describing only happened in the 1.0 version though.

Need for speed is an excellent game developed by EA games.I have been playing NFS Carbon since it was released.It has the excellent graphics representation than any other version of the NFS. I have installed the NFS Carbon on Microsoft Windows XP sp2 and it works fine with the 768 MB RAM and 2.66 GHz processor of my PC. Then i just copied the same folder of NFS Carbon to My laptop having windows seven build 7100 with 2 GB RAM. It also works fine with the newer Microsoft operating system.

the carbon is my favourite game of nfs as well
but it seems that nowone' s playing it over the internet, and that' s a shame because i would really like to test my skills against other racers

I am using windows xp sp3 and my computer isnt the issue cuz i play world of warcraft & NFS most wanted just fine. PC specs as follows

INtel Pentium 4 cpu 3.06 GHZ 1.99 GB ram... i tried to update the pc verson to 1.4 but says the patch is not correct

Could the issue be my video card, it is built in to my pc... would i need a new video card to play this game?

only thing that is happening is i launch the game it looks like a slash screen then goes rite back to windows desktop.

Onboard graphics is never nice but I dont think thats the issue - pretty sure you need to resolve why its not patching first, as I believe thats the route of the problem (as Im pretty certain that issue was had by a lot of people on vista to begin with).

When you say the patch says its the wrong version, can you describe in a bit more detail where that message comes up and where you're dling the patch from please?
