Hi Guys,
I have installed TW08, but when I select play now, it attempts to load a course, but when the load bar completes, it displays a black screen (size dependent on video resolution selected), and reverts back to the desktop.
Can you please tell me if my system (NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000) is good enough to run TW 08. I've looked back through a fair amount of the forum, and tried lowering the graphic settings, and the /nointro option.

No, I'm afraid it's not. That video card is nowhere near strong enough for most modern games. In addition, you probably need at least 1 gigabyte of RAM for the game to run smoothly.

Your video card is not officially supported by TW08. You would need to find a newer AGP video card and likely add 512 MB to 2GB of ram for the game to run acceptably.

Thankyou both for the timely response. I am now on a mission to upgrade the old clunker.
Cheers from Oz

Dessi....... I don't know that I'd put tooo much money into that rig, although it might serve you well for your needs. In any event, AGP cards are getting more and more rare, and , therefore, more expensive. If you decide to stay with your current rig, I'm including a link for a card that will run all current versions of the TW series.. ( man, prices for computer parts in Oz are outrageous!!!)...
Best of luck.........Otto

I bought a Gigabyte NVidia 6200 AGP card for A$54. The game now works, although it is has a slight jerk in the graphics as it follows the ball off the tee. I will play with the graphics/Video settings to try for some improvement, and will upgrade the RAM to 2 GB in the near future.
I found a list of the acceptable Video cards at:

Thanks again for everyones help.
