I would call it no goal because the referee had the intent to blow the play dead after first contact.

this is not a goal! you can not score on a rebound on a penalty shot, the puck clearly goes off the players skate, after the goalie makes the save, no goal. that's what the rule states. has nothing to do with kicking motion or anything else, clearly stated like i said in the rule book

yes it did. I hope they fix this and the poke check after shooting thing. (yes, you can score if you poke check the goalie after getting the shot off)

the player didnt change direction or speed

It should not be a goal....The goalie poked it away from him and the skater moved it back towards the goal....It CLEARLY changed direction. Look at the video again.
