Am I missing something here? I am playing on a PS3. Every single round I have played has had 15-20+ mph winds and about 70% of the time it's raining. I think out of 100 rounds played, 2 have had 5-10 mph winds and no rain. I have not had a single no/low wind or clear and sunny day.

I have the weather set to random, apparently you cannot change it to live weather during the middle of the season, so I am skipping all events and going to try live weather on my next season.

Does Live Weather even work? I was reading where people are disabling internet connections to get a calm day so Live Weather can't get any updates.

That seems indicative that a fix is needed if you have to go through such circumventing to get a round in without near gale force winds and torrential downpours.

Also, I noticed that the computer players shoot phenomenal rounds in the worst conditions. It sort of ruins the game when you're playing the tournament challenges and it talks about how the golfer you're competing against once shot a incredible round of 64 on the course in 2007, yet when you play a tournament on the same course, 15 computer players are getting scores in the low 50's, sometimes less and that's with 20mph winds and rain.

I find it hard to believe on those par 3's where the green is a small outcropping and the wind is 20mph and it's raining cats and dogs, the computer players all seem to birdie or ace the hole.

So between the retarded weather and insane computer skills, I can hardly win a tourney unless I want to play on the completely easy level with all the help stuff enabled.

I guess random means, Rainy? Always. Never Dry Or Moderate.

Is there a patch in the works or are we stuck like this?

I know, it is absolutely ridiculous. Believe me, it only gets harder as the tournaments progress. The weather conditions are absolutely ridiculous, and when people are shooting scores like -10 in those conditions with very fast fairway, green etc., it's practically impossible.

Setting the weather to Live will stop most of that.Of course you will get days where the weather really is bad at a course.

As far as disconnecting to circumvent Live Weather, just don't do it.It's your season. You're not competing against anyone else.Play it the way it is supposed to be played.

Yeah I am having no issues playing with Live Weather. I can handle overcast skies with 5mph winds. Granted I am not getting those crazy long drives, but I'll manage.

Random weather is broken, no bones about it.

I have tested to see if Live Weather really works. I live 5 miles away from Bethpage Black. I have seen days where the wind is blowing and raining hard. And we have had few Nor'easters come through. I have seen roughly the same conditions on the course. But I have seen it different too. I guess Live Weather updates constantly because if there is a break in the weather and it gets calmer, it plays with that.

Also, I have noticed if Live Weather is not working, the wind only blows at 1 MPH. This does not happend much so I cannot complain. The fact that you can play Live Weather most of the time on these courses is very cool. Now if they only had snow on the Live Updates for those of us in the north. That would be even more cool.

If I remember correctly the Live Weather is supposed to update every 20 minutes.
