Marian Hossa makes his Blackhawks debut wednesday night versus the San Jose Sharks.

The 2 best teams in the league square off. Hawks have won 7 straight!

Hawks just took out the Canucks, Flames, and Oilers.

Anyways people need to respect the Hawks! They are better than your team.

Chicago is making the western Canadian teams look pathetic!

Before the playoffs last season, their last visit here, they swept west Canada.. Then the Blackcocks beat the Flamers then the Canucks in the playoffs.

Then they just swept western Canada again.

They're not better than Pittsburgh or Detroit if both teams are healthy. It's also comical to come on here and start gloating when Chicago hasn't won anything yet. In fact they haven't won anything in almost 50 years. Let's relax a little bit.

They're a very good team, especially with being able to add a player like Hossa to the lineup soon, but it's a little early to crown them the best team in the league. They lost in 5 games to a banged up Detroit team in the playoffs and lost to them already this season. I think Chicago is definitely a top 5 team in the league but again, we're barely 20 games into the regular season. If you think that regular season success guarantees the Hawks a Stanley Cup ring then take a look at San Jose. Speaking of, I'm not convinced Chicago is better than SJ, either. Or Philly.

I wouldnt be bragging about the fact you beat the Oilers, you look at all the injuries we have and the fact that lots of our guys playing are still injured you cant really be exstatic about beating a team like that and when healthy were still not all that good

Taylor Hall could be wearing Oilers silks if this season keeps up the way it has...

Anyways good for Chicago getting Hossa back, this is probably the best team in the league already, adding Hossa? Man I cant even imagine... Good luck against San Jose, hopefully you guys injure Heatley and win 50-0

Hmm... 3rd place in your conference... OH WAIT, My mistake, that is the Redwings that are 3rd in their DIVISION!! Whoops, silly me.

Back on topic though, I'm excited to see Hossa come back. It will be interesting to see how much better the Hawks will be (as if they weren't good enough already ).

When Hossa comes back, Chicago will be a top contender (if their goalies can be at least half-decent).

Considering that is a Red Wings team that is missing:

Adreas Lilja
Johan Franzen
Valterri Filppula
Jason Williams
and now Nicklas Kronwall

all for extended periods of time, I am pretty excited that they are in 3rd relying on guys like Bertuzzi to pick up the scoring slack. He better be out of the league after this season, i can't see how anyone would want him.

Yes the Hawks are very good now, and adding Hossa will only make them better. But to write off the Wings based on the standings as the team stands right now is absurd.

Oh, I'm not trying to write off the Wings, but your other Wings fan over there was just trying to trump the Hawks with Wings victories over them. I was just clarifying who and where the Wings were in the standing a quarter through the season.

Understandable. The past matters in the past, it is the present that counts now.

I don't understand why Puck rips on Hossa either. I would gladly have him back. He was better with his hurt shoulder than either Bertuzzi or Williams could ever be healthy in playoffs. The guy is a 2 way forward that can score like crazy, I don't understand how anyone would not want that guy on your team?

better than pittsburgh, San Jose, Buffalo? nope, not yet at least.

Many people ask me why I sign off 'til we meet again.' It's because goodbye is so final.

As a Wings fan, the people that ripped on Hossa were, sigh...

Hossa is all you said. It would have been great to have kept Hudler and Hossa (I don't care too much for Lebda or Sammy). I don't believe in a Cup curse.

It's funny--Penguins fans were ripping on Hossa and such when we had Hossa - after Hossa leaves the Wings, Wings fans rip on Hossa. Wings fans say they're better than Penguins fans--and vice versa. It really just shows how immature the fan bases are on both sides.

Anyways, Chicago is looking good. I would be devastated if the Wings lost to Chicago in the playoffs... It would basically nullify all of our bragging. If the Wings lose in the playoffs, I hope it's to someone else, like San Jose. Hah.

Also, I would rather see Chicago grab a cup than San Jose or Pittsburgh. Yet, I would rather have the Capitals over the Blackhawks.

Amen. After having watched Hossa play and knowing some of the charitable stuff he did in Atlanta it is hard to not like the guy. I sincerely hope he wins a cup before he retires, even if it comes with a series win over the Wings. The guy deserves one.
