Need for Speed Racing Games

Anyone who saw the previous thread will understand why I locked it. I'm very keen to hear what people think of the thread (good or bad) so please use this thread to discuss the patch. Do not go off topic. If you want to discuss anything else other than the patch please create another thread. Don't ruin a decent thread again.

My questions to it:

Do you working on it?

Is it possible to include Night and Rain Races? For Nightraces you have to create Lights, all other should be possible now

Any other new features?

It's 2:11PM CST, I'm in the US with the PS3 version. Just booted up SHIFT and did not get a prompt to download the patch. Will try again later I guess.

Did a few races using the new patch for the PS3, overall it feels like an inprovement.

The Spa Invitational race with the Porsche Carrera GT is fixed, no more bouncing.

But, in the last of the invitational races....the "Time Eliminator At Nordshleife" with the McLaren F1, the slowmotion
effect is present. It starts well, but gets unplayable before the bridge.

The Autopolis track still got this issue also.

So there is still some work to be done, but I'm pleased anyway. Keep the patches coming!

Will the steering input delay be fixed?

There is still the drop in framerate, sound in drift races when doing them in quick races is still missing ( have to restart the race to get the sound going )

Replay still stutters a lot, very noticable on the the long straight on the Nordschleife.
Other than that it seems to be a good patch. The cars seems to have a bit more weight to them than before the patch, and they dont seem to slide around so much anymore. I am not to sure about this one but i feel that the tyres do not screech as much as they used to. Wich is a good thing

The one issue that really needed to be addressed for the PS3 has, if anything, been made even worse.

FRAME RATE !!

Just try the Invitational Events:

Zonda Time Elimination at Willow Springs
McLaren F1 Time Elimination at Nordschleife (This is really bad, make sure you try the entire lap as it starts off ok)

I'm not one for ranting but this is taking the *p1ss! 2 months waiting for a patch and still no resolution

You need to take a good look at the quality of the work you are producing EA and ask yourselves "Is this really what our customers deserve?"


This really is the biggest issue with the PS3 version and it makes the game so frustrating to play.
Without the frame rate problem this game would be at the top of my playlist but with it I don't want to play it at all.

Any clue when the US version will receive the patch?

Could those of you who've downloaded the PS3 please post and let me know where you are in the world as I want to track where it is and isn't out so I can give a few people a prod.

In Canada as well here and still no patch.

Patch has been out for over 12 hours in Norway at least
