So I've created my player a hundred times and saved him. When I go start a BAP it loads up nothing. It never seems to save my created skater. Anyone know how to fix this?

This "one" thing as you said is paramount to making BAP goalie almost lame. How can I possibly stop dozens of one timers. My team will skate towards to puck and then it seems like they are more worried about getting out of position, they stop and go somewhere else, leaving the puck or the opponent, letting them do what they want...whether making a cross crease pass, a pass back to the point, or just skating towards the net.

When I play a person, they are aggressive and go after me every time I have the puck, I get someone after me within about 2 seconds, and if they can they hit me and knock me off the puck. I get one, two goals maybe three. Play the CPU even on all-star and I win 6 to 1 with many posts and close calls, and I keep them down to under 20 shots, often under 15 for the game.

The way the CPU teammates play, they leave so many people undefended in front of me, and get so many one timers, it's not close to realistic to how games go in the NHL. Rarely if ever is someone just left alone in front of the net. Yes it sometimes happens, but not 4 times, 5 times a game.

They spend so much time making the hits better, that there's dozens of bone crushing hits in a game, and in a real NHL game there's maybe 3 or 4 tops. So wow, we can now hit the goalie, wow we can now do amazing hip checks, but they spend no time making the goalie able to do saves unless you are in the right place all the time. Standing in the middle of the net to be close to stopping a cross crease one-timer shot leaves you open to goals on the short side. Covering the post side leaves the one-timer option almost a guaranteed goal.

I'm not liking goalie at all.

Case in point: I just tried another BAP goalie game. I have it on rookie, and custom settings and the human sliders all are turned up, and the CPU has all sliders turned all the way down. So everything is set to make the AI team as poor as possible, and the human CPU players the best possible. After a period and a half their team had 15 shots and two goals (from cross crease passes -- my goalie can not seem to get across; as soon as I move to the direction of the pass and move my right stick over to make a save, he stops moving and puts out his glove), and anyhow my team had managed zero shots to their 10 in the first period, and 2 shots to their 5 in the second period. Not goals---SHOTS. What the heck are those sliders for, they don't do much at all. So many things I just can't like in this game, it's all designed for playing people vs people, HUT, and all that. So many other options are not well-developed and kind of not worth playing.

When I make a new BAP player, skater or goalie, before it goes anywhere it gives me the option to save it. Are you creating your BAP skater from going to BAP and then choosing new? It's not the player you create in the main menu, and create skater option.

It was in Create a Skater option off of the main menu. So I go into BAP mode first and make the skater there?

Yes, when you go in to BAP choose new, pick your skater as you created him, you'll see him there, and choose the options it has, which I think is what position or what type of player (sniper, playmaker, grinder, etc.), and then choose your league and team.

This is if you choose a new BAP, if you choose CHL pro or NHL pro then you will pick from an already current player in that league.

Exactly. If there is at least one thing in this game they need to fix to make it more enjoyable is the AI. You can especially notice it when, for example, the CPU team pulls their goalie. Playing against them, they make no attempt to dive in front of the puck or become aggressive to the puck carrier. Although that is not the point of the topic, it is also something to be considered.

Just got the game. Are we restricted to 1 BAP file or did my goalie autosave bug out and overwrite my skater save file? I created 1 G and 1 RW, starting from the CHL in BAP mode. I played about 15 games (phenomenally, I might add) with my RW and then played a few games with my BAP goalie (also pretty damn well), and both "autosave1" and "autosave2" are now goalies. My file named "skater" has 0 games played, my file named "goalie" has 0 games played, my files named "autosave1" and "autosave2" both have 7 games played as goalie. The "skater" file must have mutated (?) as I didn't tamper with it. I confirmed that both autosave files are goalies numerous times so it's not a mistake I've made either.

I also had 2 freezing problems last night during intermissions. The sound worked, but the game itself froze. Waited 5 mins each time and there was no resolve.

No matter what I do my character gets ZERO time on special team situations. I was on the third line and and the second PK line, then i get moved to the second line and all of a sudden I'm taken off the PK all together. I guess nobody else is having an issues i have posted on the forums at least five times and contacted EA at least 3 and gotten no help or suggestions.

How do i turn off line changes in BAP?

Im so sick of the stupid game prompting me to sim to next shift and then showing me this retarded black loading rectangle. There MUST be a way to turn off line changes, theres NO WAY that the people who programmed this game really expect to me sit through 7 loading screens per period as i sim to next shift do they?

What kind of game decides that more loading screens equal more fun?! Why cant I just play? And keep playing until the game is over? You know...since I bought the game...to play it...not to watch it load 7 times a period for 21 times a game.

Legends don't unlock for me. I've hit Rookie 2 on two different be a pro files, and both times I've not unlocked Chelios. This is very frustrating, if anyone can help please!

I was having an issue with NHL12 when I got a copy of it. The game was laggy and the audio was unbearably choppy. I returned the game. It only happened in Be a Pro mode. I installed the latest update and then uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. Still audio issues and laggy. I then proceeded to take out some items on my PS3. This still did not fix it. All my other games run perfectly fine. I was reading some where however, people running the game on a standard definition monitor where having similar issues. I don't have an HDTV as of this time, getting one after we move. My question is this just a bad copy of NHL12 or am I doomed to not be able to play it without getting a new monitor? I am very frustrated. I have no NHL games now, traded my other two in to get the newer copy.

First off I want to say that you guys do an awesome job at the NHL series, great work. I am writing here to throw you out

some ideas at I feel would be great for BAP in NHL 13. I am 32 years old so I have grew with your franchise and understand it. Please

take a moment and read some of these ideas I have. thanks.

1.Have the crowd holding signs with your name and number on them. If you sucks have the crowd exploit that. If they love

you, exploit their passion. It would make BAP more personal.

2.Be 100% in control of your character. Start the game by being in the lockeroom, be able to walk around or something, look

around. Have a clock in there counting down to when it is time to take the ice. When it is time make it where you control

your skater walking him out of the lockeroom and onto the ice. It would be nice to have a warm up walkout as well.

obviously the crowd would be less in numbers in warm up walkout but when walkout for actual game have full house.

3. It would be nice for you to have a post-game interview with your BAP character. Where you are sitting there talking to

the media and are given a select amount of things to say.

4. If your team is playing bad, slowly have the crowd become less in numbers, not to many people watch bad teams sometimes.

5. While playing as goalie allow yourself to be in full control. An example of this is when the other team is going for a

one-timmer pass, while moving your goalie from right to left or left to right your goalie drops down halfway over allowing

the other team that extra split-second to score on you. I really dislike that please take that out. Full manual controls

make it more authentic.

6. if you win the stanley cup have your be a pro character be able to skate with the cup, be in full control of this. also,

be able to save photos of your memorial cup team picture, or stanley cup team picture as well as saving video of your

character skating with the cup. Its good to look back on this.

7.I enjoy a challenge and always like to play my goalie be a pro on superstar and hardcore modes. the only issue I have, is

that my team hardly ever scores and the other team is like a beast raging in the night while my team is like pups looking

for a home. make it more evenly balanced. I want my shots dont get me wrong, but i dont want it to be the only way i can

win is by a score of 2-1 or 1-0.

8. My cousin actually brought this up and i thought it sounded neat. a co-op BAP mode offline yet online. like my cousin

and i can play together on the same team in BAP then come draft enless we are drafted to same team we go our own ways but

the team he is drafted to i would play against him actually not the pc. possible?

9. aT END OF BAP mode retire your jersey or something neat like that.

10. if you are injured, have it to where you have to work your bap back to game playing condition.

11. be able to earn xp in practice mode. What is the point of practice if your not getting any better?

12. Have the winter classic put into BAP.

13. iF YOU ARE A goalie in bap have it to where if you are getting pucks blasted by you that the coach will pull you and

you can then sim the rest of the game. Also, when you are not starting sometimes your team will get blasted 7-1 and you

will look at your stats and see that you had to finish the rest of the game. instead of it being a simulation have the

option of while the game is simming you getting called into goal and having to finish the game. once again it makes it more

authentic.

14.New sports announcers, i love gary thorne and bill clement but they say the same thing all the time i mean its not a

huge deal, a small deal really just noting it. I turn off the commentary now because of this. I know you can only do so

much in a game.

15.Have an NHL live segment that will talk about the plays of the week, the goals, saves hits, etc. be able to watch this

at the end of each week or something, or nightly.

16. Keep girls in the game, just have more heads, more options, alot of real girls actually play this game including my

wife, she only does bap.

17. Have goalie injuries, and its cool losing the goalie mask but perhaps gloves, or a stick would be nice as well. losing

your stick then having to play on or have your team mate hand yo one.

18. When you get drafted to be a pro, or drafted in BAP have your character walk up and put on his OR HER jersey. and an

option to save a picture of this, it is a special moment in a hockey players career.


19. Game face should be added to NHL 13, once again having your real face in the game would be a more personal experience.

20. custon goalie masks, be able to design your own mask.

21. More goalie saves added to the game.

22. If you are still reading lol thank you, why not tryout a kinect option for the goalie on or offline. who knows how it

would work out but its worth a shot dont ya think? thank you so much for reading. No matter what you put out there i know I

Glad Im not the only one having this issue. I have done the same thing as you with hitting this mark with two other profiles as well as hitting the Pro level legend to be unlocked and nothing. Real frustrated with this and real close to getting rid of this game and Im a big hockey fan and love this game. This is the only issue I have with this game.

I am also finding this issue to be very frustrating. It is fine for an option but you can't tell me you got rid of being able to set no line changes. This is what I have found and if anyone else has the answer please let me know. I miss NHL 2011 for this exact fact.
When I created my pro one of the settings was BAP setting and there was two options one was Classic and Authentic. I went with the latter and I have to sim through the game. Annoying. The other allows you to decide when you want to go out on the ice by pressing the b button. However on powerplays it never lets you go out. This option or lack of setting up no line changes really makes this version not so good. I mean when the team goes into overtime. I never get to play the overtime period because when I sim to next shift the 5 minute ot period is over. Just makes me so mad. Why do I want to play a game in which I have to sim half of it. Please someone who knows can you change to no line changes in an already existing BAP player? Thank you to anyone who can answer.

I don't have any task in be a pro mode, how i get task? i want it because you get extra xp points if you complete tasks, i have already played 1 season and didn't get any tasks
