For those looking ahead at roster and ratings updates for Madden NFL 10, here’s the current plan:

Week 14: Friday December 11, 2009.
Wild Card Weekend: Friday January 8, 2010
Super Bowl Weekend: Friday February 5, 2010

As we have mentioned before, if the Madden team determines that major changes have occurred in an off week of our plan, we will make an unscheduled update.

As the team is already knee deep in the next game, I know that spreading these updates out is not the ideal scenario for many fans. Please know that we do continue to monitor the forums, for both general comments as well as ratings and roster suggestions. We realize that with ratings changes, it is impossible to make everyone happy … just as we know that not everyone is going to be happy with the schedule that I outlined above.

Many of you pointed out that more than anything else, you simply wanted us to let you all know what the schedule was going to be. That is the purpose of this post. I can tell you that moving forward, we are looking at a few different plans for how rosters and ratings will be handled. Some of that planning is based specifically off of ideas that have been suggested right here in the forums. More on that as we get into the off-season.

Im gonna guess no, because that is the beginning of the 2010 League Year, and that is where Madden 11 takes over

No, The superbowl is Feb. 7th

Did you guys FINALLY figure out it's best to keep fans of the game (who buy your product and keep you employed) INFORMED about what your decisions are. If you are too "busy" to keep fans updated on what you cannot do (weekly updates that were first intially stated) then perhaps you should have said this WEEKS ago. Perhaps people wouldn't be so fed up with your inability to deliever a satisfactory gaming experience if you had posted this before? Or perhaps your new "game plan" actually involves a team of people doing the ratings rather than one DICTATOR who most don't respect due to his biased views on who should be rated accordingly etc. Obviously people are going to be "homers" when they are asking for ratings boots, but the forum I've been involved with has been quite realistic most of the time.

Until YOU figure out a way to keep US (the gamer) satisfied with your level of involvement/product satisfaction, WE are going to complain. The only reason why people even stuck with you this far is because EA has a monopoly on the NFL gaming experience. Otherwise, I am convinced that many would have given up on your game WEEKS ago. And probably given up on the ENTIRE GAME PERIOD. What is sad is that more people by the day are becoming anxious for EA's monopoly to expire than for the "new and improved" game to be introduced next year. And what point did you realize that you couldn't come through on the promises you stated at the beginning of the year? (Weekly updates). At what point did you REALIZE that people aren't very happy with how the ratings are compiled and how ONE person controls the satisfaction of MILLIONS of gamers? How did you actually figure out that this probably isn't the best idea? Oh, I know, it was US who have been complaining, The people who buy your game, the people that you should cater to the most. Perhaps one day people will grow to respect EA and that they actually care for their customers enough to keep their expectations for your own motto "If it's in the game, it's IN the game" plausable. My expectations, like many of yours.. have diminished and am not very satisfied with the gaming experience you have provided. I, like many of you, will continue to hold onto hope that maybe ONE DAY you will actually figure it out. Let's just hope it's not too late when that actually happens because the game itself is improving (thanks to the developers) but the communication/post satisfaction seems to be rather dubious in nature. And as a result, keeping people who would line up to buy the next installment, looking at other alternatives to fill their gaming day.

Again, I'm holding on to hope that this NEXT update might actually be worth the 3 week waiting period (since the last one was rather atrocious). What is one of the most ridiculous things I have witnessed is your inability to correct things that were wrong in the first place.

Explain to me, and THOUSANDS of other people, how someone can make SI's ALL-PRO TEAM, namelly EAGLES MLB STEWART BRADLEY who was selected to start along side: Ray Lewis, DeMarcus Ware, Terrell Suggs, James Harrison is rated a 77 OVERALL?????? I understand that he was on IR at the beginning of this season, but to totally ignore the FACT that he was exceptional all last year, and is recognized by a major sporting media outlet (Sports Illustrated) speaks volumes. Is it really that difficult to give a player a rating they DESERVED at the beginning of the year? We did a survey in the Eagles forum on what we all thought the ratings should be, and came to the conclusion that a 90 OVR should have been right to start off the year. Why is this continually being ignored? Why is it so difficult to perhaps swallow one's pride and actually correct something that MANY feel was wrong from the beginning? We can't ALL be wrong. All we want is what is fair, and that's really not too much to ask for. Is it?

I for one, and I can safely speak on the behalves of THOUSANDS of Eagles fans, would appreciate that attention to detail, and would actually be relatively HAPPY with your product. Again, I understand that Bradley has been on IR for the entire season, but ther is a reason why the Eagles ranked No. 3 in TOTAL DEFENSE in the NFL last season, and Bradley was a big reason for it. I'm sure many fans would have been quite upset of Tom Brady was rated a 81 as soon as he was placed on IR and never adjusted accordingly. We as Eagles fans feel as though this is a travesty and makes the gaming experience less enjoyable as a result. Please fix Stewart Bradley's rating so it reflects real life. He has earned it, just like the Eagles earned the right to have the THIRD best defense on Madden, yet that is sadly not the case. Do the right thing and let the fans actually have a player they feel is underrated corrected, EVERYONE will be happy as a result (Eagles Fans).

What is absolutely RIDICULOUS is that their is only ONE STARTING MLB IN THE ENTIRE MADDEN GAME that has a lower rating that Stewart Bradley (Stephen Tulloch of the Titans). How is this even possible for someoen who has earned such accolades from Sports Illustrated? A 77 Overall rating for Stewart Bradley is a slap in the face. He needs to be adjusted.

Just wanted to say thanks for deciding to keep us in the loop.

Bradley had 108 combined tackles 1 sack 1 int 1 ff in 16 games and that makes him a 90 overall in Eagle fan's eyes?No wonder you guys arent happy with your ratings because you are Fing crazy as bat shite.

Will you guys fix the problem with creating players. I think its ridiculous that something as simple as creating a player is so complicated this is the second time that you guys have done an update and I cant create a player so please please please fix this issue as soon as possible we shouldn't have to wait on that.

i agree 100 percent with the stewart bradley thing but maybe like an 88 since he has been on IR all (to be fair) he'll more then earn his rating next year. People that have been working with him and his torn ACL have been saying he's recovered so much faster than anyone they've ever seen. Also that he looks like he could play right now if he had to. but anyway i think our LB CORE as a whole needs to be upped. the Eagles THIS SEASON lead the league in negative yardage, and it's not because we have a bunch of 70 rated LB's so just think about that EA. Just do some research on the Eagles D ill bet you'll find a lot of things that arent right between reality and madden.

There isnt any room to create a player with all the roster updates and players getting put on free agent list.
