I don't get get why they couldn't get this right in a patch but it really pisses me off the crappy way they made the ranking system with top the top 10 guys always there year after year even if they lose multiple fights in a row or remain inactive.

Fighters should have to stay active and WIN fights to be in the top 10, young fighters should be trying to move up the ranks constantly and losing fights or not fighting for a year should make your ranking suffer.

I have guys I've beaten 3 straight times their rankings doesn't move, fighters that don't fight for 2 years and they're in the top 5, I hear about some young fighter coming up but he never breaks the top 20 and has a crap record too.... it's dumb as **** and only thing I could think of is EA is using this (improved legacy) as a big selling point for FN5.

At least I hope so. Otherwise it's incredibly short sighted. I can't believe the testers didn't notice this.

I seriously think EA need to think about some boxers they have left out like:

Evander Holyfield,
Buster Douglas,
Oliver Mccall,
Floyd Mayweather Jr,
Oscar De La Hoya,
Prince Naseem Hamed,
Nigel Benn,
Chris Eubank,
Steve Collins,
Frank Bruno,

these guys are/were fantastic boxers in their time!! to create the ultamate boxing game you need all the top boxers, and definatly more british boxers like the last 5 in the list above, I was happy to see Mike tyson in fight night round 4, but 1 boxer is not going to make a difference! thats the problem with boxing and wrestling games they can never get the fighters right i.e with wwe they should make a classic game with the likes of wrestlers from 1988 to 1993/94 when it was at its prime! a lot of gamers feel this way but just dont express their views on forums because they think its a waste of time and that thier views will not be taken seriously!! I hope i can prove them wrong!!! So EA game developers, if u look at this forum, then I hope you take this into deep consideration!!!!

- Roster: Every fighter on the roster should be available at every weight class where they were memorable and in distinct attire. The full roster and stats should be posted well before the final release and the fans should be able to voice their opinion if some stats seem wrong. Try to get licenses for real trainers.

- Style/Stance: These should mean something. There should be gameplay advantages and disadvantages for each.

- Signature punches: Make them more realistic and add more. Also let us choose the types of individual punches a CAB throws.

- More boxer sliders: Composure (Fighters lose attributes when hit a lot or in late rounds/big fights), Balance/Footwork (Bad balance = easy to knockdown, good balance = throw better punches when leaning), Dirty (Better chance of getting away with low blows/headbutts), Clinch (can wear down opponents or land harder shots in a clinch).

- Punches landed to a blocked part of the body should still matter. At no point should an opponent be un-hittable regardless of height and reach differences.

- Knockdowns: More animations and types. Difficulty in getting up should be reflective of the power of the punch hit with, stamina/chin/balance of the fighters. Ex) A fight could end with the 1st knockdown or the 7th depending on the fight.

- Clinch: Should wear down stamina of fighter getting held. Both fighters should be able to throw punches.

- Headbutts and low blows should look realistic and have a chance of landing undetected if done correctly. If caught the ref should immediately break up the action and reset the fighters.

- Refs: Warn for excessive clinching, low blows. Maybe even have different refs with different AIs.

- Fix known gameplay issues: Spinning, back stepping and leaning back. Overusing these unrealistic tactics should make players more vulnerable to knockdowns.

- CAB: Tattoos, hairstyles, reach, more name pronunciation recognition, more city/state/country recognition.

- Optional Counter Window or Sim and Arcade modes on-line.

- On-line Lobbies

- Home field advantage: A fighter in their home court should have an edge in crowd support and judging in legacy.

- Legacy: Rivalries, , Better AI, Online multiplayer legacies, fighters should be able to gain points for doing well in each fight.

An advanced training mode to train counters etc and promote realistic boxing styles (so there are less spammers online - etc)

Also - better replays on knockdowns - stress the powerpunch/combo, not the last punch.

have an idea for FNR5, and that's everyone boxer beat a specially via button press, Iron Mike Tyson left hook.., the other other ... it would be great if you had for each boxer another special move would make this proposal, such as yes tyson greatest left hook ... for he does in FNR4, the second of the new move could be a evasive move his ,button on pressure because tyson was the only escape was so unique and fast, I mean this in the clip in 50 second.

that would be hot and original! for others such muhamed ali be of famous phantom punch or something .... which is still very important to me that everyone has to go his lizens boxer origenal song to get out, the best from the best years of the boxer ... and even what each boxer hat several outfits, or even once young get old with one or the other shorts, hairstyle ... only the shorts that are completely original, which every single logo on the shorts on it is not like FNR4 ... but that's the main key is the Iron Mike Tyson here ... EA thank you for your work ... what do you like boys are my ideas so .. ?

People since realistic and stop dreaming))) these ideas will meet you man .. I could not get out also contact the Iron Mike Tyson with his real team goes and as a trainer Cus D'Amato at his side is personal .. and out the other boxer really with their teams to go .. but these things will remain a dream)))) makes you better think new features better legacy mode .... asking for a realistic graphics, and the boxer that you want to have ... because EA has really done well in what one FNR4 improve can is more reall grafic boxer,multilingual trainer and kommentator ...., knockouts and more beautiful, more different kos, looked this

In Lagacy mode when the boxer boxing in the amateur league, the t-shirts will carry the fight ... like in real boxing))More music, rich and original clothes are asked to share the boxer, who also more arenes from Europe, for more hairstyles boxer editor, tatoos, more clothes, all kinds of trainings to all the FNR series even if some of the same successes bring such power for Lagacy mode, trying different kinds of beautiful boxer when trying to get up after a ko, for example, he gets up, falls down then he stood up again, fall .. )))) Faces real ,no animation, overall similarity of the faces and body, although the physical look good in FNR4 similar special reserved combos like in Knockout Kings 2001, as then exported each boxer his own personal combo, and the special share second move I had already been mentioned ... maybe it's crazy but it might make even if you have a lizens FNR4 the boxer and his mouthblock selects which one can make the changes boxer her mouth to be simple closed so that you can look at whether or face, just like that so you will compare its similarity ...)))) can think of is all in FNR4 succeeded quite well really glad if some of my ideas used EA ...!!!! sorry for my bad english but i have so much good ideaas )))

From my own thread:


Physical Damage

*The physical damage on the boxers needs to be improved a lot. Right now you can get a small collection of cuts and every fighter swells in the same way. I know the devs have mentioned that the ratings board (ESRB I think) put a limit on how much blood they can show at the current rating the game has (Teen) and that raising the rating would hurt sales - I understand that. What is needed is greater variety in damage - there shouldn't be one type of cut over an area (ie. straight cut across the cheek etc) they should vary it up.

*When a fighter is damaged so much that they are almost going to get stopped, the ref should be able to call on the doctor to check the damage and decide whether or not to stop the fight.

*If a fighter is cut and there is fighting on the inside or a clinch, some blood should be smeared on the opponent’s shoulder and side of their head.
*Also when a guy is cut his blood should get smudged around his face as he is hit more.

*The nose should bleed more often as well.

*Lips should cut and swell as well.

*Also the swelling should vary from fighter to fighter rather than the same generic way it seems to right now. If you look at somebody like Corrales who swells a lot under the eye, where as Oscar swells a bit more on the cheekbone (below isn't a good example), Tyson swells more over the top of the eye (I couldn't find a pic but look at him after fighting Douglas) and Cotto's whole face virtually swells all at once:





Taking Punches

Little things bug me about when a fighter takes a punch on FNR4:

*When stunned a fighter only ever tends to take the big step backwards when hit by the punch that stuns them or he takes one or two slow steps like he's dizzy. There needs to be a few variations on fighters doing the "silly dance" when stunned (you know what I mean - the legs wobbling) because it would add an extra element of realism to the game.

*A fighter’s legs should still be a bit shaky after a knockdown for a short while

*The hands should drop a bit when a good body punch is landed, the amount the hand drops should vary with the damage done to that area. A fighter with badly damaged midsection should be holding the arms lower to the area to protect it.

*The damage bar between rounds should be separated into different areas (eg. left eye, right eye, left ribs etc.) to allow users to focus on the specific area that is damaged rather than a generic healing option. This would be particularly useful against guys who fight mostly on one side - letting you save points by focusing on the side affected. Obviously this depends on whether or not EA overhaul the corner game or not.

*There needs to be a big change In the knockdown animations as well. There aren’t a great variety in FNR4 and the one we have are a bit cartoonish some times (especially when the guy sprints the the ropes to fall and the one that is like a tree being chopped down – TIMBER! lol). Things like a guy dropping to his knees or putting a glove on the canvas would help. Guys falling onto the ropes properly would also help – right now you either catapult off them or hit them like a wall – boxers should be able to fall ON TO the ropes when knocked down. (I’m thinking of La Motto vs Dauthuille but I’m sure there is a more modern example lol). More realistic knockdowns are essential.

It should be possible (but rare)to get a flash knockdown from a body shot – look at Hatton vs Castillo or Hopkins vs De La Hoya – it happens.

*Low blows should make a fighter go down to their knees sometimes. Obviously this wouldn’t count as a knockdown.

*Certain fighters should have their own reaction to a knockdown or a big punch – for example Frazier used to tap his gloves together.

*Fighters wiping blood out of the eyes during a round would be cool as well.




Punch Styles

The one thing that annoys me most about the game is that everyone uses the same style of punches; some guys may be quicker or more powerful but the animation is the same.

The game needs to have several options for each punch. A Liston jab looks different from an Ali jab and an Ali uppercut is massively different from a Tyson uppercut and it should be that way in the game. There needs to be a lot of different animations for each punch (ie. Jab, hook & uppercut).
This would allow the game to more accurately reflect the true style of each boxer and let CAB makers reflect a real life boxer’s style better. All you need to do is a bit of extra mo-cap work – get a few different guys in and have them study tapes.

Footwork

The footwork in the game needs a bit of work, right now everyone seems to use their feet in the same way. There needs to be a wide choice of footwork to give the game more realism – if a fighter is up on their toes a lot (like a young Ali) then they should be like that, if they are more flat footed in the ring then they should have the footwork to match.

Taunting
Taunting should be used in the game properly, not just the signature punches we have right now which are a bit generic. I know everyone is going to say that the taunting is annoying but that is the point it is supposed to be frustrating and throw you off your game. I think a decent taunting would give a decent psychological element to the game. Each fighter has their own unique things they do when they are well on top of a fight and each fighter should have this in the game – some should even have nothing at all.

Also, little extra things like taunts (but not) would help. I mean things like if your fighting a guy who doesn’t engage too often you could have an animation that tells them to come forward and fight or a fighter shaking his head after receiving a big punch to act as if he wasn’t really hurt etc. Things like this would help add a little realism to the game.

it should really look into his shorts FNR4 .... the original music which I had mentioned ... something like this should be feasible and not a matter of impossibility

the rest something like more arenes, more music, more music alternate, more Famous umpire, realistic fans outside the ring ... and what I wish the very last game is fully translated by the trainer to kommentator of english to german or russian etc .... .))))))) what affects the gameplay would remain of me from everything except for these 2 special move .... a better boxer editor with more hairstyles, tatoos ..... Such things are for the FNR maker a joke, but for me one last cut for a perfect game ...))))))
