Hope they fix the blocking on running and passing. Way to hard to get sacks and when you get good pressure just as you hit the QB he throws it and the ball flutters away. Run blocking the lineman never go on the nearest tackler and miss way to many inside blocks. When ever you block a field goal or extra point it hits the defender in the head then he catches it. That will never happen ever. FIX IT!! Can we ever get a blocked point, never seen a blocked punt ever in all the maddens.

on x360 how do you know that patch 1 is installed? ive got roster updates since season start, but never seen a non xbox/live update when logged on and trying to play a game online, something i dont do at all usually

There is nothing they can do to convince me to buy Madden 2011. I no longer trust these guys. But that won't put a dent in their franchise. Even if 20% of us don't buy it, there will be an increase of 30% of new suckers who will.

i'll still buy it, what other football game am i gonna get? until the EA's right with the NFL i will be playing madden, after that i will switch to either 2K or Sony

THe best madden i played was Madden 2004

the db (if looking at the reciever) doesnt need to look at the ball
and the qb's are too accurate as it is

How many versions of Madden have you actually played? Besides, GAMEPLAY isn't the only factor you need to consider when rating a game. I think the gameplay in Madden 10 is pretty good overall but still has some issues that need to be worked on. It is all the other things that EA messed up this year that make this version of Madden one of the most unfinished in the series in my opinion, and I've played MOST of them since the earlier days of Sega Genesis.

Substitutions, contracts, penalties, stats, player progression, replays, animations, blocking, FFF, gang tackling.... it all needs SERIOUS work. If this game was AS IS on PS1 (graphics not withstanding) then I would say WOW. But this is PS3/XBOX 360. Twenty years of Madden experience for EA and there are all these glitches, problems, and missing components while we have to sit and wait MONTHS for another patch. Think what you like but to me, the only FAIL here is with the game itself.

There should be the possibility to mess up snaps especially the direct snap plays. Strength needs to play a bigger role in this game when tackling. Also the animation of doing a (ghost) tackle through a person with needs to go. You can take out the 360 jump throw the quarter back do all the time as well.

Yea i really hate how Vick can run 30 yards backwards spin and throw 60 yards down field and hit a guy without being able to see him.And fix the jacked up challanges.Last night in a ranked game Winslow catchs a pass inbounds runs 2 yards then is pushed out the guy calls a challenge the both shows replay off winslow having 7 feet hit the ground before being pushed out yet the play is reversed?Then in the same game Washington jumps for a ball gets hit in the legs drops the ball it hits the ground and goes back into his hands and the play counts so challange replay shows the same thing but the play stands?Fix the broke crap.

How can you enjoy the franchise mode this year? It's a slight improvement from last year I'll grant you that but it's nothing compared to the Franchise modes in Maddens 04-06 on the PS2. Why they dont just take those franchise modes and implement them in to the next gen games is beyond me, but I will LOL if they try to reintroduce the features from the last gen madden franchises and try to market them as "brand new"

I believe he means that there are no patch notes up. There is some vague info in this thread, but nothing is official.
