This might be a newb question, and maybe already answered, but I didn't see it. I am having a lot of trouble getting enough speed to get the required total amount in the challenges, especially if it is a test drive. I know about the double nitro, but only seem to get to use it once. Is there a way to build up the nitro quickly, so it can be used for the next two? I am stuck on the last star of Cairo Speed Trap.

dunno if this is what youve already done, but if you do a double nitro start-then slam it into a wall, nearly all the nitro is saved, so you can then use it later-apologies if this is what you have already done-i don't know any other strategies, other than drift, drift , drift

I already figured it out on my own. Guess I wasn't patient enough. Didn't realize drifting increased the Nitro gauge.

Forgive me if anyone already knows this, but not only drifting, but drifting with speed. The faster your going when you drift the faster it fills up. Also, when your at the starting line, don't hold throttle wide open, if you start to rev it up all the way, and keep the tach between the 2 highlighted green marks (it gradually shrinks as the countdown starts) if you can maintain the tach in this area at take off, you can actually get a full 1st tank of nitro right from the starting line, very beneficial in both the drift challenges as well as speed traps. The last tip that I've found is that once you get higher end cars its possible to drift at full speed down a straight away, just a very slight tilt of wheel remote and a tap of the brake will get you drifting on a straight away and build up your nitro quickly as well. Hope at least one tip helps

Just to add to what was just said about the start line. If you manage to fill up the tank by keeping the tach in the green area, then within a a second of starting, hit the nitro, and you will get a perfect start, and it will fill up your second tank as well (this won't happen if you stall). If you don't want to waste the nitro just hit the nitro briefly to get the extra nitro tank fillup. This trick is needed to complete some of the later time attacks. Just wanted to let anybody know that hasn't figured this out yet.

HI BowlerChris. I have a response to your question. A really good thing to do is to get a perfect launch but when you get a perfect launch save your Nitro and when you are a near a speed trap boost the nitro. try not to get damage because you lose nitro.
