Just wondering how the top ranked people online can hit some of the shots they hit??? I feel like I'm a pretty good player and it's like no matter how good my shots are they ALWAYS get them back.... and ususally they hit a winner!!!! I use the Wii Motion Plus....Are they using something else besides that?? Any advise or answers would be greatly appreciated!!!! If anyone would like to play please respond!!!

Nope, WM+ and Nun-chuck is all they use (and of course a Wii Remote) other than that, they just have a great understanding of the geometry of the court and have played many matches. Just practice, practice, practice! You can never stop improving, and playing great players can be great experience.

Good luck.

Rubbish,

Don't listen to all these self proclaimed comments from the higher ranked players in this forum. The connection between players is realy what determines the outcome.

1. If the connection is in your favour, you'll win as your shots and player will be faster and more powerful.
2. If its in your opponents favour, then the opposite will happen.
3. If its about even then your likely to get a good enjoyable match that could go either way.

Now what game you get? Obviously the top ranked players get scenario 1 most of the time in their favour but they will try to rubbish that so they can preserve what they feel is their status. They can blow all they want but thats the real truth so just play the game for what it is and don't worry the rank you will not influence this unless you benefit greatly from the connection.

P.S. The type of connection you have does not show in anyway via the bars on buddy matches this makes no difference, you can only tell by movement of your own and that of the other player. One game your fast and shots are good next game the opposite. Do you change that much in from one match, NO other influencies have taken this out your control.

Just enjoy the the good games when you get them.

I think both Buckshin and Barnbrook are right. Mastering the Wii Remote and nunchuk and especially mastering a flat forhand will get you in the top. However, I notice that the speed of my serve fluctuates in certain matches and is not as fast as usual and it appears a connection issue is responsible.

Most of the top ranked players got there by using the play with friends feature and racking up wins and points. The points gets you levels of skills. You can beat alot of these players with a low score ranking but it is very difficult because of the power the points they got give them. The only reason you could beat them which I have many times is because they cheated to get the points and are not all that great. Because they are not very good the only conclusion is that they had to cheat to get the status they do. The ones who are truely good are impossible to beat with a low points player, I feel they either started in the begining when is was an equal playing field or cheated at first to be able to compete and then rose to the top. It is very difficult to advance in points once you have a lot as they only get 2 or so points to beat low ranked players. Beating them gets you alot of points. All in all if you do not cheat it is almost impossible to go up the ranks as the top players are often the only ones playing nowadays. You can fight a good fight and win some but then a good player with the top score comes along and there goes your points. If you beat a player with a high score they never want to rematch as if they did you could potentially get your score up. The better players don't want to waist time playing the lesser ranked as it is just too easy.

Who cares if you suck , I do too, just my thoughts on what is going on since people seem perplexed as to why it is so hard to compete against certain players. It is fun to compete if not why play online. There are alot of ok players that may like to know they don't suck zoo much. Then again whatever.
