90% of the servers i try to join all say "connection to the server has been lost, please check your network connection and try again". Some of them work but are very laggy. Are there any ports to forward?

Same here, it's very annoying. I can play about 5 min max after which I get that error

I have same kind of problems with NFS:Shift (Connection to EA Nation is lost) and Mirrors Edge.
Problems started after I moved to Win7 Home Premium - Retail.

When I try to log back on, it just sits on Updating Stats forever until I'm kicked for inactivity.

Same here. Everytime I try to "Play Now", it just says Connection to the Server has been lost.

Same problem here, play for 2-3 minutes and get dropped (when I don't crash before i get a chance to load, or quit because of the lag that is).

The really irritating part is I remember having this same problem with the battlefield 2142 demo/beta and if I remember right the problem persisted until the game had already been released for a month or two.

Here's specs but I highly doubt this is anything related to computer specs since everything else I play runs perfectly and has no connection issues.

Win XP
Core2Duo e8400 at 4GHz
2GB RAM
Geforce GTX 285 with latest drivers

If this isn't resolved I'm canceling my preorder.

I think this is an issue with the server browser. I have found the easiest way is to refresh the list and find a server that reports back around 50 latency and join that one. If you see any with around 16 latency i think they are actually not being reported properly. Worked everytime for me so far. (well at least until it stopped working with ctd)

Same here. Everytime I go to play now nothing happens and the server browser crashes.

wow, same problem for me plus: when I try to open the server browser= CTD. hurray I've just been ripped off 49,99$!

Fortunately this just the beta.. The game looks and feels great and I believe they will be working hard to fix the problems during this phase. It's just so annoying to not be able to play :/

I haven't managed to join any games. Server list crashes the game and exits straight to desktop, play now-> join game gives me the "connection to the server has been lost" -error.

I have tried shutting the windows firewall, standing on my arms, praying to Jesus, the easterbunny and Mr.T, nothing has helped yet.

I run the game on:
Win XP SP3 32bit
4 GB ram
intel 6600 quadcore
nvidia 9800 gt and the latest drivers
