I'll keep it short and simple.

How 'bout fix the gameplay engine. The game engine of Round 3 (last gen) was fine without the parry system, haymakers, and repeated knockdowns. If they use FNR3's engine and tweak it with added animations with a whole slew of punch variations, this game would definitely be a simulation. I hated the fighter's response and the way they delivered their punches in Round 4.
They all looked stiff and jerky. The way they threw jabs and straights in this game were totally wrong. As well as the way they appear to block. And every hook or uppercut were walloping shots. I could't throw combinations in round 4 like you could in round 3. Whats with the random hesitations when Im trying to place a 3 or 4 punch combo only to be stunned or countered by punches like a freakin' jab as if that happens often? I can't throw fast combos with Roy Jones or Ray Robinson's as does their real life counter parts.
I really hope they fix these issues with the games mechanics especially with the animations. They need to study videos of how boxers move naturally offensively and defensively and take note because that was evident with FNR3 with its obvious flaws aside. I keep referring to the "last gen" version of the game(xbox) because of how smoothly the animation was compared to the new gen systems if you notice the difference. Anyways sorry for the rant thats just my main beef with the game.

I have another idea for FNR 5, please make several trophies or certificates for the Lagacy mode such as in Daf Jam Let's say I have my boxer to 100%, he has full training skills, but I get trophy in his collection, or am ine still unbeaten after 30 fights ... .. something like this to be a very! Then this weird town belt, as in World Cup play right belt as WBI, WBO, WBF, WBC. and if we all had in his career that it will still make sense and loss continue to play much more freely switch on something like, tatoos, clothing, boxer, arenes, music .. Oh yes, and soas as a kind of newspaper for every good moment to write with a kind of photo ...

On FN5 they should have better knockdowns. Every time i knockdown someone they do the backwards walk to the ropes and bounce and twist or bounce and just fall. It used to be fun watching knockout videos on youtube on the older Fight nights but since the majority of the time it's the same animation.

Combos
make combos more realistic. When i do a jab jab straight it seems ad when the straight fires it ends the combo. Hand speed should come into play for combos. When against computer they and you put them in knockout mode you should be able to pin them and start maulin them. The impact of the haymakers need to be bumped up big time

Knockdown Momentum
Last have the boxers after a knockdown (the one who caused the KD) should come in with a lot of momentum to finish the fight. For example Roy Jones after he knocks you down he should come after you with flurries of punches or be waiting with his killa hand speed for you to make a mistake and counter you with a strong punch to try to finish. If you last for that period of time the pace should slow down and level out again. But the opponent should be more conservative after he scores the knockdown but still takes the wide open opportunities.

I would really like to see the addition of more meaningful, impactful punches when they are landed cleanly. I'm not speaking of haymakers, which are an extremely damaged aspect of this game. I'm talking about when you time someone walking in and catch them flush, they shouldn't be able to just continue to walk in and wing punches. When has anyone ever seen a fight where someone gets continually blasted in the face with 6...7...8 punches and continue to wear the other guy down simply because they are throwing body shots. This would seriously fix many of the online problems with people exploiting this game's deficiencies.

And speaking of the haymakers. They are tremendously ridiculous, in my opinion. The animators really fell short with this one and they apparently have never seen someone like Tyson throw a power punch. If they want to make it more evident to the opponent that a haymaker / power punch is being thrown, then do it with a short pause in the beginning of the animation and then deliver the blow with as much speed as any other punch.

Also, in my opinion, if the block strength meter is going to be left in, then blocking to the body and the head should just be mapped to one control instead of trying to guess which way your opponent is going to go. Either that or just get rid of it or maybe have it related more to your boxer's overall stamina and not a separate meter.

During the pre-release hype of round 4, they criticized round 3 for having "canned animations" for knockdowns and then, for round 4, that's exactly what we got!! Much of the same pre-animated knockdowns. I want it changed up a little. Not every knockdown should look like a fight-ending ko. And you should be able to take a knee to save yourself from a more devastating punch. Personally, I like the rag-doll knockdowns from fight night 2004 (I think that's the right one). It was extremely gratifying to trap someone on the ropes and deliver 5 or 6 more shots before they fell. BIG FUN!!!

I like most of the things about Fnr4. I wish the detail to be a bit better. I like the characters' physic system. But there needs to be more body models. Maybe a skinny and lean model. Secondly, there should be a more realistic energy system that doesn't allow you to throw 200 wild punches per round. Thirdly, good head movement should be rewarded but there should be steeper penalty for retarded circle spin movements. Oh yeah, the last thing I would like to see is tassels-gotta have those.

oh yeah I forgot to add that the punches need work. Throw a right hook left hook combo. It looks like it comes from a girl in the schoolyard.

I like wat everyone is suggesting but for my man roy jones. His hands should be faster. Add some taunting in the game too. dont just make signature punches one button, every fighter should have distinctive punches(if they do). Roy is the one that comes to mind. He does leaping, ducking, and punches out of blocks to knockdown people.






For all the fast handed fighters like : Manny, Ray Leonard, Ali, Roy etc. they should have more flash knockdowns but the opponent can sometimes get up early. What im trying to say is that FN5 should define blinding speed. These fighters should finish with Tkos easiers than others also cause they can rush the opponent with furries.

More realistic boxers

I feel as though the boxers didnt look themselves enough, like hatton looks too overweight compared to when he looks for a big fight, and he doesnt look realistic enough. also tyson looks good in it, but not as good as we all hoped, bcause he doesnt have tht reall aggresive look in his face.

Better fight atmosphere

More variety of commentry, eg having jim watt commentating with other big commentators, having michael buffer do a ring annoucment of the fighters would be an awesome add!!!!!
The crowds need to be lowder and react differently to different fighters e.g I a fan favourite (ricky hatton) fights a fan villain(floyd mayweather) then the crowd should chant lowder when there fighters on the winning side or cheer him or jeer him when hes gettin beaten.

Proper sponsored 'superfights' like the fight will be on hbo or sky box office, itll ad a real buzz to the fight

eras
In legacy mode, have an option to fight in a certain era of boxing, so if you chose tysons era you would have the choice to fight all the fighters tht were around in his era.

my top ten ideas some have already been said.

(1.) when you stun someone and they in corner or against ropes flurries, taunting, knockout styles that are unique to the boxer in classic fights and a precision punching whr u can choose to hit them should be good
(2.)footwork styles it seems only ali has one in fnr4
(3.)standing knockouts when the in corner on on ropes would be awesome
(4.) tko when damage gets so high and you wasting them but thy still standing should be able to have increased speed and power and thn referee stops it.
(5.) actual mangers and trainers should be in boxers corner e.g freddy roach in paquiaos, floyd mayweather in oscars, roger in mayweathers.
(6.)in classic fights venues, rules, clothing and if the fight is knock out or tko and your winning should get to end the way the boxer did.
(7.)Haymakers should be judged on boxers speed
(8.)can choose wat year to legacy mode so you can fight wit those rules and have different atmosphere
(9.)old boxing rules should have different weight gloves able to hit them when thy are down, headbutts knees elbows allowed.
(10).range should be improved and duck and weave should change for the boxer e.g whitaker shoul have a retreating weave, lewis lean back etc.

P.S david tua should be included in the game
