Hi all!

When i try and start the game i use the icon that is created when i have installed BFBC2-BETA. The only thing that happens is that it says "retriving version information" and then nothing happens...

When i try and skip this and use the BFBC2Updater in the installation folder same thing happnes. If i try and use the BFBC2game.exe file it says that the configuration is wrong and if i install it again it will fix the proble..well it doesnt...

Does anyone have a clue what the problem is?

What Firewall do u use ? Does it block the Updater from scanning your system's settings ?

Edit: What OS do u use? Did you try running it in admin mode ?

OS: XP SP3
Don't have firewall, not even Windows default.
Have installed latest graphic and sound drivers.
Updater finishes updating and window closes and than nothing. Process closes after few seconds.

So you definitely cant run it through the .exe ?? Did you try running it in admin mode yet?

Yes I did and same thing, game doesn't start.

I'm having the same issue. Both Steam version and Non Steam Version.

The newest driver for sound and graphic.

I have also turned of the firewall (windows) and still nothing happens..

When the patch came i tried it again and the updater downloaded the file and then nothing happen again.. and i stil cant use the game or the updater file in the install directory..

And iam so eager to play it hehe

First off, remove any instance of the Beta.

There is no reason to disabled any antivirus, or firewall at all.

In Win 7, your best bet is to run the updater as administrator, and it should work. I didn't have to run the game in admin mode to get it to update.

post what version you are running (is Steam, retail, D2D etc)

If applicable, state which validation method you chose as well (DVD vs. internet)

Post OS version, video card driver version, or anything else that might help narrow it down.

Having the same problem, the updater did and update, and the game won't load. Just get a blank screen, re downloaded video driver etc. Same thing, re-installing will force the update so just stuck on a blank screen.

I'm running on xp not on any platform ex: steam ..... i choose internet (also tried dvd same doesen't work)
