Hello forum, having a slight problem that other threads have failed to answer, so i'm starting a fresh one, in more detail.

I double click my BF:BC2 icon in steam, its load for approx 6 seconds, goes to a small white box in the top left hand corner of my screen for about 6 seconds, then closes to desktop, along with the task & process.

I've been playing the game all of yesterday, and this problem never occured, nor did i do anything to provoke the error... any ideas/suggestions?
I've tried running through shortcuts, no resolve.

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.

(if i resolve the problem, i'll be sure to post how to fix it... for others who may have this problem)

NEWS! For the steam version, go into your account setting and select to participate in the steam beta client. This worked for me. Hope it works for you

U must set dxversion to 9 in settings

So go to my docemts, open bfbc2 folder go to settings.

change it to: dxversion=9

if you manually set your resolution to an un-supported resolution, it can cause this problem too.

i must be so damn unlucky. nothing is is fixing my game. i hav the same problem like u guys but every solution that works for other doesnt work on my game. found like 5-6 ways that others got their crashing probs fixing but mine is still the same. its driving me nuts

care to share those other ways? My * is crashing too.

Any other ways other than CHANGE IT TO DX9? thats just stupid i have windows 7 on a gtx 285 which does support dx10 why cant i play it with dx10 WOW

Where shoul'd i change dx to 9 if I 've got a digital version via ea downloader? can't find any settings here..

My BBC2 crashes when im in game just as i spawn .... its driving me CRAZY help!!!!!!!!!!

Changing it to use directx 9 didn't work for me, but after just deleting the 3 files in the my documents folder for it it worked.
