i think the video blog idea is kinda lame, because you guys will prolly have alot of pointless talking in the video. All i really want is the info about the game.
Also, can we get some real gameplay this year instead of adding towels and wrinkles to players.

I just hope they keep Madden 11 like what you see on Sunday and Monday Night not what some 11 year old that never played before and picks it up with one button controls. I want sim gameplay not arcade!

The video was a little disappointing. I wish they would do an interactive blog on EASPORTS and talk back and fourth with us and answer our questions and respond to our comments.

Hey Ian, Will, Justin and EA,

I thought the blog was ok, but I guess I was expecting a little bit more. I mean, it's nice to know who is responsible for what but last year you came out with Procedural Awareness and some videos to back up what it was. This year it was more of 'Meet the Team' that is going to be making the best football game ever and who they think will win the Super Bowl.

I can't believe that you are not going to release any other news until Mid March, I can't wait that long guys.

Also be sure to check out my articles every day this week with things that I and others would like to see in Madden 11 on MyMaddenPad.com. Hope to be able to provide as much feedback as I can up until I can't anymore.

Keep up the great work, at least I know who to yell at when my favorite football game doesn't come out right ... lol.

BTW - Mark is a great addition to the team.

I watch the Madden blog and I'm really nervous hearing realism and arcade paired together. I think Madden Arcade was good enough... Simulation and arcade just don't mesh together. It's either or... Mark Trunnell has me thinking when you try to grab everybody you still are going to make the die-hard upset... I can see it now the complaining starting.

I've been waiting for "what we see on sunday" since the launch of this generation of consoles!!!

Like I said in the other thread, the Turmell guy, needs to get a good understanding on what madden should bring to the table GAMEPLAY WISE rather than trying to bring over ARCADE players by (this is what I got from his statement in the blog) what seems like to me that he is thinking about adding some type of arcade elements into M11 and that will be all bad.

We have games like Gran Tourismo that go for what we'd expect out of madden and then we have need for speed or cruisn for those who dont like the AUTHENTICNESS of GT. SO therefore madden should be AUTHENTIC with NO ARCADE ELEMENTS at all!!!

The blonde guy didnt seem to be high on madden and he looked like he is gonna commit suicide any moment now, or maybe the saints arent cutting it for him or something, but he didnt look happy and thats not a good sign.

And by the way JOBORULE, we have 4 months of development of madden 11 left, it goes gold 2 months before release. (so they said last year).

And IAN, make sure these forums are the MAIN FORUMS for communicating to the community regarding madden, please!!!

I cant stand the * kissery of these other sites just because you guys are giving them the goods before we get them at your OWN COMPANIES FORUMS!!!

We here have a lot to offer too and we should be the ones to get that first.

Anyways, blog was boring but insightful and it was lacking a lot of community feeling to it. It seemed like you did it to impress us gamers, but thats a good start but it should be like this ALL YEAR LONG!!! Not just cetain times of development if yo want the best of feedback.

As I said in the other thread, just because someone has an arcade game background doesn't mean that they can't be productive in a simulation game as well. After all I'm sure their have been designers and programmers for sports games that have been involved with both genres.

After the success and general positive reception to the game of Madden for the first time this gaming generation, I would imagine EA would want to keep with status quo on being a full simulation football game and keeping on adding new stuff that fit that mantra. It would be fair to wait for what Madden has in store before jumping on them for turning arcade.

Anyone pause on the whiteboards to get the makings of what was written down? Could be some nice teasers there.

Well that was pure disappointment. Eight minutes of my life i will never get back.
No offense to the team, but we don't care about meeting you; we just want news on the game.

When you hire someone with a certain background most of the time that is what you bring them on board for.... their background. How do you create a realistic game that keeps a 10 year old and 30 year old interested. It's nearly impossible when it comes to a sports game when the 30 year old is a die-hard sports fan.
