I'm a big fan of the Battlefield franchise the vehicles the weapons and the chaos is just insane and recently I've been looking at Battlefield 2142 and it looks just too awesome is there any plans for it to come to Xbox 360 in the future?

If you really were a big fan of the BF franchise, you wouldn't even ask that question.

No 2142 will not go to xbox. Here is the thing, the Battlefield series is a PC series. DICE was NICE to give you a game with the title Battlefield. You will never be able to understand this until you play the game on a pc. Awesome graphics (well bc2), teamwork, dedicated servers, and much more. You wont get much of that on an xbox or a console for that matter.

It's also four years old. The big money (unfortunately) is in the new releases and console-port-to-PC games.

Without a doubt, the next generation of consoles SHOULD be able to handle a game like BF2 no problem, and 2142 with a few sacrifices.
The current gen doesnt have much on PC, but I'm looking forward to the next Playstation for one thing. The next gen of consoles will be able to handle some PC games on med settings I imagine.
So, I would say hope that DICE do something similar to what they did with 1943. 2143? Yes, I'd buy that.

Oh no, please, not that... The "war" betwwen pc and console gaming is not about graphics, it's about gameplay (and sales, of course).
But we can make a deal: keep the Bad company series for consoles,
but design the next real battlefields for pc.

Why dont they just put the server's for 2142 into Game Mode's
like they do in most Console Game's
Let the player's who like normal death matches have death matches.
while Titan player's, like myself, have Titan matches.
just divide them into game modes for the server's to handle.
as for the commander option, that would be interesting to see on consoles.
indefinately, 2142 would be amazing on consoles, especially if they remade it with better graphics and design, then again, the graphics are already amazing, but why not up them anyways for consoles??
seriously, sales would go through the roof with a remake or console based 2142.

First of all. I would love to see 2142 on the console (xbox360). Second, I sincerely wish that there was another company out there that would take over EA or preferably make games the way they should be made. I love the Battlefield series, I own them all and all the add-ons. Seriously, it is an extreme love/hate relationship. I love the games and for the most part, the gameplay. EA, in my experience, is a money grubbing, greedy, spoiled brat of a company. They rush the games, apparently stressing graphics, but sacrificing security (PC Based). For instance, when 2142 came out, the big selling point was it was supposed to be unhackable. The demo came out, withing a week it was hacked. Within 2 months of game launch, there were over 1000 sites selling hacks. Totally ruined the game. Lets face it, when you are getting shot from across the map through buildings, or spawnraped by rapid fire artillery, where is the fun in that?
EA sucks actually at making games. They excel at graphics though. Point of note, a .45 cal pistol should not ever be able to make a headshot at over the equivalent of 500 yards, or at best, once in about a thousand rounds fired at that range. Im a U.S. Marine, expert shot with 20 different weapons and 10 weapon systems, so dont tell me this is possible to do on a regular basis.
The last bit of my rant....WTF is up with baseraping?!? 10 year old losers ruining the game. This has been an ongoing issue since BF 1942 and EA has yet to address it. It would be simple to fix. -100 points for every kill inside the enemy home base. -10 / sec for standing / flying there, and for every 10 kills inside home base, 1 unlock reset to 0. but no. to many whiners, and cheaters, and EA sux at making games. They rush the gameplay and dont pay enough attentions to details. I will be extremely happy when they fix these issues OR another company comes along and does it right. Until then, I will just keep putting up with lame-*, cheaters ruining the game. Thanks EA, for allowing the lame-brained, and the no skilled cheaters have a place that they dont feel like such losers. I guess thats something anyway.

it will never be a console port. IF they ever did, it would have to be dumbed down. compare the comm rose in bc2 to that of bf2142. your complaints about the hacks and bad play, could have been easily fixed by playing on a server w/ competent admin, where the cheats are quickly shown the door. base raping will never be eliminated, as the assets are in the uncaps. again, it is a decision of the admin whether to allow or disallow. yes, that's actually pointed out in the rules of combat.

This is the first time that I am using this forum, and it's nice to know that there's alot of fans just like me that feel the same way about this brillant game and I have to say to all you guys, that you are most probably right about all the ideas and questions you have about this game. I believe that this is the best team(squad) based game there is and of cause they would have to replicate the kind of nummber that we are all use to, (40-50) or more giving us the feeling of a true battle. I myself am also in agreement with putting this game going on console only becasue of the severe hacking from people who are illiterate to what they are doing to the online gaming industry, if there were any more of them they could actually close the show down, and as we all know the onlline experience is much more than just the game. Imagine, this is a great game already and to see a No.2 would be awesome.

Was just about to ask the same question except for PS3.
There is really no need to be a PC snob. Not everyone can afford to upgrade their PC every couple years when their current stuff becomes old and outdated. Consoles are just much easier for casual gamers.
Further, I don't believe any company is "NICE" enough to sell you a product. It's business. Get over yourself, your attitude, and go back to mom's basement. (that comment is directed at the person above you)
I would love to see a console version as I am a big fan of 1943 even when I had to wait an hour to get into a game on my PS3. I think a futuristic Bfield would be a whole lot of fun.

Its not about snobbery. Its simple fact. The console versions of any shooter, are dumbed down. Its just not possible to have the level of depth, with a console. Sure you can have pretty pictures, but thats only a small part of any good game. The issue also isn't of upgrades, you will buy a new console when it comes out and if your a smart shopper you can get a good PC that will last just as long as your console has. Besides with today's part costs and no new games even denting what a good GPU can do, your actually being a bad shopper going with the console based on cost alone.
Facts are facts. Want your console port all you want, but it would only make what is/was a great game a lame game. RE:BC and BC2.....and really Im sorry, but 1943? What a rip......

ya, get out of mommy's basement, idiot
you guys are right, though. consoles will never reach the level of depth in pc gaming. there's nothing snobby about it, just the truth. let's take a quick look at BC2 as an example, which is a console port. the game is 3+ years newer and should be moving forward, not backwards. just look at how dumbed down the spotting, requesting, and overall use of the comm rose has become.
