Join us for the NHL Live Chat on Wednesday, March 24th where we'll announce who we've selected to join us for the Community Event in May. http://www.easports.com/news/item/file/NHLCiTMarch

See you there!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

For the second year in a row I am extending an invitation to our upcoming NHL 11 Community Day which I am currently organizing with the development team. Do you want the opportunity to not only provide your feedback but also be one of the first fans to play NHL 11?

Leave us your post with why YOU should get an invite. What feedback would you give to the developers if given the chance to spend the day with them and the game? Are you a critic that just wants to see the best possible game developed for all fans? Or maybe you're a proud voice in the NHL community and the game's #1 fan! How would you make the best of an opportunity to be a part of the NHL Community Day? If you have suggestions, leave them here! If you're feeling creative, leave us a youtube video.

Tell us why and we'll select a Community Representative to join other NHL Community members at this year's NHL 11 Community Day. You must be 19 years old and from North America to be considered.

I look forward to reading all the posts from our passionate community!

Ive played hockey for 7 years and can judge the realistic"ness" of the new game. I have bought the nhls since 07. I have been faithful to EA and bought alot of their games.

As an avid player of the NHL franchise games (Played EA Sports NHL games since NHL 93, which I still have in my basement with the player stats book that accompanied it, I have also owned 93, 97,2000,2001,2003,2004,2005,06,07,08,09,10), I have seen the development of the franchise from the early days to the highly sophisticated games of today (NHL 10 is my favorite). I have also been witness to the smaller nuisances of the games (In NHL 2003 taking a slap shot from behind your net would result in a goal at the other end the majority of times, in NHL 2009 the numerous penalties given for marginal plays not worthy of a penalty. For all the above reasons I believe I could significantly contribute to the success of NHL 11.

Thanks very much,

Heres why I think I would be a decent candidate.

Gameplay/Skater: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/336654.page

Goaltending: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/336600.page

This one below is the compilation where my two above are a part of (Thanks to MD Rattlehead)

http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/366672.page

I am an avid hockey fan. I know hockey in and out. There are many problems with the game as well as some very good things. I believe that EA really pays attention to the fan base and that is why I have decided to post my "improvement threads" which have seemed to be well liked by the community thus far.

I am thinking about writing another thread about how to improve the AI in the game. Thanks for listening to the community.

Edit: well nevermind. I am 17. Would anyone like to carry out my ideas for me?? haha. Well if anything, maybe the right poeple will see the suggestions I have made. I still think that you (Sk88z) and the developers should look at the communities ideas. Especially those who are included in MD Rattleheads "Compilation Thread" (linked above)

I vote for Boondock. I haven't disagreed with anything he has said future NHL wise.

I have played the EA sports NHL games since NHLPA 93. Most people forget the PA for Players association! I miss the starting line-ups when you picked teams and even the zamboni and other game highlights during intermission of the good old games!!!

I think I could have some good, yet critical, input on the next NHL game for EA. I've personally been playing hockey since I was old enough to walk. I've coached several years and grew up playing with a few current NHL players. I've grown up in a hockey rich Northern Minnesota town where our originally (and main) rink still has the wooden arched roof!

Other than maybe a few classics (93 and 96), I think NHL 10 has been the best installment to the franchise. However, NHL 11 could critique on some of it's subtleties and enhance a better, yet classic, NHL experience. I would like to see a resurgence of some of EA's roots in NHL games.

Here's a link to what I would like to see in NHL 11. Granted, some of my suggestions were a little critical, but I just had a poor gaming experience minutes before typing it! But then again, without criticism and bad experiences...we wouldn't be able to improve on the things that make the difference.

Thanks for the consideration!

Hey EA and Mods

The games that have been delivered have been consistently improving ever since they have been released back in the early 90s. The game is building on little things from year to year that make huge differances and more realistic examples of this are the new borad play, last year the defense skill stick and each year there is something new.

These new features allow us to appreciate what players are doing on the ice but not only does it allow us to be amazed at what they do, its gives US the feeling of playing hockey at a high level.

As a young boy wishing to play at a high level, I got that feeling from the EA game in 1996 (PC), with John Vanbiesbrouck on the cover, winning the stanley cup. These games have given the feel of playing at a high level and dream to one day have that chance, from winning the stanley cup on EAs game. I played alot of hockey in my day and had the chance to play in the OHL for a number of years and almost having a chance at the memorial cup (lost in league finals) and progressing my career in the pros but I decided it was best to go to school.

But that feeling of winning the stanley cup was created from winning the stanley cup cause "ITS IN THE GAME". The intensity that this game has brought has created things to improve on as a player and understand what it takes to focus on a goal. When I stayed home from school to play this game and now stay home from work to play it, it creates a feeling of accomplishment due to the realism that this game produces.

As a huge hockey fan watching games daily and playing daily it would be an honour to have the chance at meeting the creators of such a great game and adding suggestions on what to improve on in the game, also allowing this game to have a feeling of realism or as close to it as possible.

Some suggestions to making this game very realistic come from the chemistry players have on the ice and ablity of a player to create chemistry with the players he is playing with. Also when a team is doing poorly in the NHL what happens? A coach would get fired due to the fact players arent designed for the system that coach wants them to play, so they bring in a new coach and system which would benefit the team from the coachs new system. Teams practise daily and can develope chemistry which can lead to victory(EASHL). These are just a few of the things that I would add to help have the feeling of realism in this game.

Thank You for this chance

Rick.C (23)

I just played in a 7 overtime game in otp. I was the right defenseman. My left defenseman was named duncan keith and so was I!!!

Well anyways we outshot them 69 to 41. I have photo proof..

10 periods of hockey sure was tiresome lol.

Thats why I think I should get an invite. Please though, I'll do anything.. (and i mean anything) even bow down to the mods or something..

Oh and Im a huge hawks fan..

It was Blackhawks versus Bruins in ps3 otp...

We outshot them 69 to 41 but the final score was 2 to 1 hawks..

The game winning goal was a breakaway lol..

Oh and I was playing right defense. The left defenseman was named Duncan Keith and so was I!! It was totally random how that happened too...

I have proof as well.
