I am unable to strafe while normally walking (and yes I know you cannot run while sprinting. I am not sprinting). I am also unable to turn while in a tank. Clearly my A and D buttons are working on my keyboard. The keyboard settings are on default in the game. I also have tried setting them to different bindings on keys that work for other items. This also does not work. Anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

I used to have a problem on older machines/keyboards where you couldnt press more than 2 or 3 buttons at the same time, it just wouldnt register.

Try another keyboard.

I have the SAME problem with a high end keyboard.. it isn't a keyboard issue. All keys function fine, but A and D (strafe on foot and turn left/right in vehicles) do NOT function. They work perfect in all other games (MW2 for example) but are dead in BC2. Anyone find a fix? Annoying as heck. Even if I change the bindings to different keys, still unable to turn/strafe. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to strafe whilst walking. But, you can't when you are running (LAME)

LOL.. What part about "Can't strafe at all" wasn't clear. Can't do it standing still or walking. I know about the running feature. Can't turn in vehicles either... A and D simply dead. ALL other keys work great, and in any other game A and D work great. Has to be a BF bug. Will have to wait for further info for a patch/fix ... the launch is pathetic, server crashes, Punkbuster bugs, looks like the Beta wasn't nearly enough to playtest it.

OK I got it sort of figured out, I think I cleared one of the axis from the mouse controller. (Swapping the save file from teh Beta didnt work, which I could strafe in).
In Pilot: Look Left Axiso X
Look Right Axiso X

I was able to clear the entry from teh Look Up, Look Down which was what I think fixed it.

I really wish we could just clear an entry that we dont want, (or maybe I just dont know how to do that).

I was having similar problems and it turned out it was using my USB rudder pedals as input. I don't understand why they removed the ability to delete a binding....

I also wish they would give the PC client a way to differentiate between different game controller as it will only see my rudder pedals and will not see my Saitek X52 Pro joystick.
